im 14 and got diagnosed when i was 12. at first i denied it and told anyone. i couldnt stand it. my fear of needles only made it worse. your daughter makes me want to be grateful i got it later in life and makes me want to try harder to control the disease. shes lucky to have parents like you :)
My son has had type 1 Diabetes for a year now, he is 14, the day and days to follow when he was first diagnosed I can only describe as utter devastation, I think I didn't sleep or eat for a couple of weeks . A year on and life is so much better, yes it is never going to go away but we make every day count, he loves sports and even had the highest P.E test results at school!!! He is the only child in his school with Diabetes, I sometimes watch him coming out of school followed by hundreds of ot
I have seen parents of diabetic children say, oh he needs to own this and take care of hjmself but as parents it is our job to make sure our children are safe. I love your attitude towards your type 1 child. my son is 13 and type 1 and he is learning and does much himself but we watch over and make sure he is safe as best we can because we love him more than life. Thanks!
That's such a sweet video! I was diagnosed type 1 diabetic when I was three and I'm 14 now and I do all sorts of dancing and gymnastics and it's never held me back, good luck to your daughter I wish her all the best, elina
Thanks so much for posting this video, how old is she now?
Im Tayla, i was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when i was 5 years old, im now 14....and i have had a fun go lucky life, sometimes ive ended up in hospital but its better for me to be in hospital then to be suffering so dont get scared if Naomi goes to hospital, its the best option to make her full of life again, but if shes old enough can you tell her i said "You need to fight the disease, dont let it defeat you!" goodluck.
dont stop to fight it my daughter was diagnosed when she was eleven. she is twenty two now and has a wonderful life. be strong for your child greetings from greece
OMG V this person under me is so f***ing dumb yeah right its going to cure it.. w/e this video is great anyway.. make sure you love her, and be there when it hurts so bad, make sure you let her express her anger, it sucks and hurts and each individual feels diffrent about their diabetes, so no one can truely relate talk to her and tell her you are always there for her

Try the herbal juice invented by Mr. Rey Herrera from the philippines. It can cure any kind of diseases, from diabetes to high blood to cancer to simple flu. Or you can try the "cure first before you pay".

I've had type1 diabetes since i was six. im 31 and i love the way you and your entire family helps out. I had the same support from mine and i think its why i have lead such a good life. I've never let my diabetes stop me,and i hope that she does everything she desires. I am a two time highschool state champion in basketball, a state champion at the junior college in football and in a month, about to get my blackbelt in jui-jitsu!!! If i can, anybody can. It dosent have to stop us...
damn dude!! are you a blackbelt in Ju Jitsu! me to! i'm diabetic from 16 years old, i'm 23 years old now. i love play martial arts, i play also Muay Thai. this prove that we diabetics are fighters!!! Fighters every day!!
Diabetes is rarely predictable and the way to prevent lows is to check it every 1-2 hours or whenever you suspect something is up.
I know it must be hard as she is so young im sure its hard for her to understand why she's going through it...but she'll be much happier and healthier in the end.
my daughter was 7 when she first got type1 and I thought it was hard. Your poor baby got it at 13mths. That is so very sad. But, you sound like you have a good attitude towards it. I try to keep my daughter from the sad you tube videos but, this one I wanted her to see. Good luck :-)
she is adorible. i watched this with my type one daugter who is 4. adara i still in the prosses of understanding this is her and she will be like this her whole life
wish your little girl will be cured and I pray for the children of all over the world who have diabetes every night before I go to sleep since I saw a kid that I love having it...It's really sad especially type 1. but I suppose you can live an almost normal life since you take care of yourself.. Please, to all of you, doctors, find a cure for diabetes and the whole world will be happy again:-)
Your daughter's story really touched me. I'm currently doing a research on exercise for diabetes type 1 patients. BTW, Naomi is beautiful. I'm a proud parent as well. She's 2 years old. Don't give up!
