here is some thing interesting. Assasin is derived from the arabic word Hashashin and hashashin is rooted in the term hash (whcih we know as a drug). The people who were assasins back then, were under the influence of the drug called hash to carry out their work. Thus they were called Hashashin "those who take hash".

actually if you look at the gameplay for several of the games and compare them to their respective realtime trailers, they are actually almost the same.
