Nice Vintage Microwave, this one is 20 years older than mine. I purchased my Panasonic in 1993, is has the same wood grain look surface, electrical flat panel that is original, door opens by push button. Only the light bulb needs replacing, nothing has been changed or replaced and the functions are as good as the ones of today, I love it! It has the round turning glass plate so foods cook or warmed evenly, I can still cook a small pot roast in it.
right now i am on a hunt to get one like this to replace the cheap newer panasonic thats falling apart. i hope i can come up with one like this or the older one with the 2 dials

Microwaves do not cause radiation, they are basically radio transformers. But the old ones like that are unsafe to work on. If you get a shock off of them they can actually burn a hole through the skin.

@1DanielChristensen They work by a magnetron. The magnetron excites the water molecules in the food. As the water molecules move faster and faster bumping into each other, it makes friction. Then the water molecules reach 212F and makes steam. The food is cooked from the inside out. Thats why if you warm rolls up in the mirowave, if you put them in to long they become tough. Thats also why microwaves don't ( brown ). You need a direct heat source to do that. thanks.......
