Few bands if any produce the "wall of sound" that Oasis does. It's heavy but not overblown or bombastic like many heavy rock bands. The guitars are chunky and distorted but in a different kinda way....not even great bands like AC/DC , The Foo Fighters or Led Zep themselves can produce this "sound". I don't know why......

Oasis combine a lot of different styles , genres & eras of music......but to really know their music you'd have to listen to a lot of their back catalogue especially the B-sides to their singles. If u care to do a bit of research have a listen to The MasterPlan , Shout it out loud or Let's all make believe.

Pretty cool interpretation. Truth is that Jimmy Page isn't very good musically, but as a songwriter, he is incredible. Oasis does put out solid walls of sound, but for LZ covers, I'd go with Van Halen.
