That's not exactly how it works in Israel. American taxpayers subsidize Israel and Egypt equally as part of Camp David accords and peace treaty. And it's a tiny amount of money for the US. As far as the healthcare goes, it's heavily subsidized, but not government owned.

That's not exactly how it works in Israel. American taxpayers subsidize Israel and Egypt equally as part of Camp David accords and peace treaty. And it's a tiny amount of money for the US. As far as the healthcare goes, it's heavily subsidized, but not government owned.

The public option that was originally in the heathcare bill before the Tea Party got their way and stripped it out and replaced it with the mandate for the insurance companies... was all about government subsidization. The difference is that you have competing companies offering a service and the bill is paid for partially by the government, either directly or indirectly, which is true for a lot of american institutions, btw.
BUT it is unrealistic to give government aid to a country an expect them to match every domestic policy. that's not the point of giving aid. If that was the test, the US would never give anyone aid, and that would be bad.

Yet, you are saying Hezbollah started that war when they did not even exist? Nobody likes the see the death of anyone in the world (if they will just be honest with themselves for a second). I hate seeing anybody suffer (Israeli or Palestinian), but when it all comes down, absolutely NOTHING can justify teaching kids that it's alright to blow themselves up and to murder others in the process (this is the most basic law of conscience given by our Creator). Let's face it, both sides contributing to the fight have become the very demons they hate, seeking blood for blood.

This is just sad. But as a child I was raised strictly Christian. I know what it feels like when these ideas have taken hold of one's mind. Children hold on to what they learn in their formative years with little iron fists. It is very difficult to get out of a mindset that was enforced at such a young age. But it is possible. If a mind is curious enough it will discover new avenues...eventually. All I can say is "Thank god I'm an athiest"!
