  • WOAHHHH!!!!, the sense of speed is terrible

  • the sound is very good!

    nice!

  • Haha people crashing everywhere, I love I-Racing but I wish there wasn't so many shitty drivers on there. People that play Need for Speed shouldn't go on i-racing... that's all I gotta say about that. PS - You drove pretty good, but it seems like your car is setup with a lot of understeer? Is that intentional?

  • @erasetoimprove Yea it was intentional, it was default out of the gate setup and that was my first experience with the car (as was many others as you can see, just they wrecked alot more heh) first times out in new cars are always so much fun and almost always involves lots of driver awareness and carnage tbh.

  • @nike23osu it's funny I learned a lot about indycar setups at indianapolis from the 1989 racing sim Indianapolis 500, and a lot of what I learned from that still works

  • whats with all the crashes??

  • @MagicAyrtonforever there's a lot of shitty drivers in i-racing. People who are used to playing Need for Speed think driving is actually that easy. Then they see commercials for i-racing and pollute the i-racing world with their noob driving techniques. I wish you had to pass some sort of online driving test to get an i-racing account.

  • do you have to buy tracks or do you just subscribe and get everything?

  • @will122391 You subscribe and get a few cars and tracks to start. After you will need to buy more cars and tracks to keep up on the tournaments.

  • I racing is not about the simulation or "game"... it's about the experience. If you want just to have a quick fun, it's not for you. However if you want to take it to the next level, iRacing is the best you can get... And believe me, I'm having so much fun driving a rookie Mazda MX-5. It's well worth the 12 bucks/month... Much, much more fun than any racing game I've ever played.

  • turn right i dare you.

  • 1:18 holy shit!!

  • Wow. Looks like a ton of push.

  • looks like this guy is the only one on the track that knows how to steer a car on an oval... paying subscription fee to avoid a bunch of cowboys on the track

  • @SpeedColonel Looking like you're out of arguments now.

The car was just released at the time video, so it's normal that the drivers that are still learning the handling of the car are crashing.

  • @SpeedColonel you try it... then come back and say how easy it was for you...

  • That's Jedi skill.

  • Dang...that's some crazy steering input.

  • whole lotta wreckin going on.

  • Actually there is a turbo whistle. Why would anyone pay 8 bucks a month for iRacing when u have several great free indycar mods for rFactor. & it even looks better. I dont get it

  • most of these aren't reasons that would affect me, but this is what i've gotten from all the videos ive watched, and from going to iracing*com as well as other sim sites.

1, the way money is transfered to buy iracing is alot safer (it seems) than it is for rfactor

2multiplayer is easier in iracing. infact, its the only "gamemode" it offers

3 people hate screwing with program files, archivers, and file compresors.

4 iracing has better driving & racing physics from my experience.

  • if you are just worried about looks, sure play rTractor or Grand Tourismo. If you want an Accurate simulation with strong competition, you pay the extra and get what you pay for.

  • Dude dont tell me rFactor has no accurate physics engine or competition. Its good enough for me & online racing is free. Lot o' mods so far more cars & tracks.

U wanna pay 2 race online be my guest.

    Btw Grand Tourismo sucks

  • @SpeedColonel rFactor is as accurate as a game could be 5 years ago, iRacing is hands down better in almost every way. If you don't think iRacing is worth the subscription, that's your loss, but it doesnt change how amazing the sim is.

  • what the hell are you talking about, lmao. Clearly you've never even been on iRacing so you are in no position to say it's worse than rfactor, wow you are an idiot. Do you even know what kind of development goes into the cars and tracks at iRacing, as opposed to rfactor? I played rF for a couple of years, I would know.

  • Wow there fanboy forgot ur medication? I guess thats why so many professional raceteams use rFactor because it sucks. Get a life... xD

  • Twisting my words now, when did I say rfactor sucks? I'm assuming you just can't afford iRacing because if you actually appreciated realism from a simulation (or have driven any sort of race car in real life) you would understand that alot more has gone into iRacings development than whatever fudged numbers some random person used to create a mod in rfactor on top of an already limited physics engine. I love when the fanboy word gets thrown out when someone disagrees with you, great argument.

  • How do you know how many development had gone into rFactor? Were you there? Or that it has a limited physics engine? It does not. I guess u dont wanna know whats real because u ARE paying to race online. And that investment has to be justified right..?

  • I've got both rFactor and iRacing. iRacing is beautifully constructed, while rFactor is filled with a whole bunch of mods. It's really, really messy. Also, the tire-physics are inaccurate.

Everything you see in iRacing is laser scanned, from tires and wings, to all the tracks. Every track and car on iRacing is flawless. In rFactor you can find a few good tracks and 2-3 ok car mods.

I've got almost every sim you can find, but I think iRacing is the best, although I used to like rFactor.

  • @Mathbra You're quite correct - iRacing is the superior simulation and is the best choice for race-sim diehards. For people like me, however, rFactor is the more practical choice. I don't get a rush from simulations no matter how good they are or how fast they are - a modest 170 km/h in my '01 Subaru is infinitely more exciting than even 350+ km/h on a computer screen.

  • obviously everyone had just bought he car and was just getting used to the car. haha the carnage

  • is there a turbo whistle in that sound?? Indycars don't use turbo engines.

  • @Hmkls

there isn't any turbo whistle |:

  • I hear a clean engine sound and a very high pitch tone which sounds like turbo.

    watch?v=gNqBkO1ZOzs

The sound is clearer in this video, I hear the same thing.

  • @Hmkls

Oh crap yeah sorry, i can hear it now, I had my speakers on low volume before.

Yeah you're right, there definate turbo sound in there.

  • its the wind im pretty sure.

  • I think that the whistling is the transmission.... the pitch seems to be relative to the road speed and not the rpms...

  • gear whine

  • Great job, getting through all the carnage. Good demo of iRacing's smoke! Nice wispy smoke. LOL! Should have some incredible races, once everyone gets used to driving the car.

  • HAHA so much smoke.. love the carnage @ 3:10

  • Yeah that's the best part!

  • please make a video on a road curse ;-)

  • is the indycar fun at road courses ?

  • Ive not tried it on a road course yet...it should be fun, allways liked indy car at road courses in the past so i can definatly see this car being a fun drive on roadies.
