  • One of If not the best. RIP Jimmy! Miss you evet year.

  • @baotmarina Every

  • he used to perform in Joplin every year. Miss this plane. I heard it crashed. Anyone know if thats true?

  • Anyone wish that commentator would shut the fuck up?

  • I too have had the privilege of seeing this fly multiple times at our local airshow. What a treat it was. I'll never forget it.

  • DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMNNNNN :-)!!

Try that w/o a pulse jet.

  • Nice way to end it :D

Randon Guy: Is that lightning I saw?

  • Amazing!

  • holy balls!

  • Great plane..great video..but could someone please mute the speaker..

  • first of all goddamn that thing has thrust, second of all I'd never fuck with a flat spin.

  • Anyone else hear someone say "ah crap" right at the end of the video?

  • i saw a plane like this when i was 13. im 24 now. this video is the only time since then i ever seen this set up. i told people about it before nobody belived me. :-(

  • This is unreal - never have I seen anything like this - amazing is an understatement!!!

  • "The dreaded inverted flat spin", just another day at the office for Jimmy Franklin. This vid gives me goosebumps and brings tears to my eyes. I saw this same performance at the Indianapolis airshow. The spectacle and roar of that plane climbing straight up for 3000ft were almost more than you could believe.

Mr. Franklin and Bobby Younkins are both sadly missed. I hope that the wings that they have now are even better than these.

  • the flying is absolutely fantastic, but the video doesn't do justice to the roar of the engine. i've seen this in person and the roar of the jet engine was great.

  • wow. that was amazing.. heck. more than amazing. that flat spin is something else.

  • This is just awesome, when I thought JF couldn't get any better. Looks like he uses the jet more for the vertical lines. Never saw a Waco knife like that before!

  • always enjoyed watching him at the QC airshow..u could really tell the difference at the 2008 show and how much worse it has gotten..no jimmy, no jim, no bobby..dont have much to look forward to at the show anymore

  • nice vid, he was one of the best.

  • Gotta say, its pretty weird to hear a jet engine on a biplane...

  • Man Announcer, SHUT THE FUCK UP!!! God he's annoying.

  • thats their job. it really does make it more exciting when you're watching live.

  • I know, but its like, I'd like some commentary then to sit back and hear the engine roar. Maybe I'm just a sound freak...

  • Understandable. Its kind of taken from the old car racing days where the announcers had to give a constant stream of info for the people listening on the radio.

  • oh my god ;)

  • I think if the annoucher would just keep shut about the Jet engine until he is in his trademark rocket climb. It would make the show a lot better. That way the people who didn't know would get a big suprise. But I have never seen an airshow annoucher that over fill it with drama. Of course that is their job.
