Naruto was an adaptation but it got cancelled. Stop denying the obvious. Z > Kai.

as has been stated; what is strong in the DC universe isnt necessarily strong in the DBZ universe. if they were balanced in power due to some event; Goku's and Superman's abilities would allow for what would no doubt be the greatest fight of all time, but due to both sides having the will to keep going even after death it would no doubt end in a tie. while i love goku i respect superman. if this fight ever is made into a video it will no doubt be at least 4 hours and sell more than can be made

Goku and tien were already faster than the speed of light at the end of Dragonball. cuz in the tournament tien says to goku "even though you can see me, it doesn't mean u know where i am." (he was not using the afterimage). the only explanation for this is tien was moving faster than light an travel. and since goku turned out to be faster than tien. by the time he reached ssj3 he is around a billion times stronger and faster. the show is not done at full speed.

Not one film I've watched ever came to close to the epicness of DBZ! . Dragonball Z was one hell of a show; from SSJ1 to many more awesome transformations. Every character is well developed too and it's great seeing how Vegeta himself changes over time :)
Some day i will be 93 sitting with my great grandchildern watching this episode as being a 70 year old classic and passing away to goku on ssj3 last vision i ever want :)
Goku will live forever. To those who grew up knowing him, watching him, admiring him, we may leave, but Goku? He'll continue to live on for generations somehow. His legacy will spread one way or another. He won't be forgotten, he can't be forgotten. He is the greatest cartoon hero there ever was. It's because of his personality that made us grow to love him and what he has done. As kids and as adults...at least, that's what I believe in ya know?

i agree superman would lose to goku, but its important to remember his status as being the first real iconic superhero. if anything, dbz owes a lot to the man of steel and other classic comics.
With that said, goku it is safe to say is now the superhero of our generation. Just as superman is hated for his simplicity at times, so is dbz. And we love him for it. No matter how much naruto/bleach/one piece fans come about to show hate, goku will always be our number one guy.
@LtSarge I agree, especially with how DBZ owes quite a lot to Superman, especially considering Goku is in a way Japan's Superman. If you really look into the details, Kal-el and Kakarot are extremely similar to each other.
@LtSarge I believe there is no reason for fans of those shows to come and hate on DBZ. If they do,they're either stupid or don't know that, at least, those three shows were inspired by DBZ (and I'm saying this as a DBZ and Naruto fan). Despite DBZ having a somewhat simple and straight forward storyline (in my opinion), it is still a very enjoyable show to watch and has been an inspiration for many other media. That said, DBZ and its characters will be remembered for many, many years to come.
if you really know goku, then you can easily see that he is the japanese version of superman, a nearly invincible hero with a heart of gold, who fights the world and universe's toughest villains and is actually just like superman, one of few left of his entire race and his planet destroyed when he was a newborn, so if i had to choose in a fight with both superman and goku, it would be a draw for me

Like the Namekians for example are known as the Nameksei-jin (the -sei is a term used for denoting it's a planet). So Saiya-jin is just the original way of saying Saiyan.

"Pro causa, non causa."-which basically means just bc one thing happens and then another thing happens, doesnt mean either thing caused the other thing to happen. no one can say, "oh half saiyans cant be ssj3." bc we really have no real supportive evidence to support that. we have goku who IS a full saiyan, and gotenks who may or may not be. so that "only whole saiyans can go ssj3" and suppositions like it are just that. supposition.
@Striker091593 gotenks is still half human as goten is half saiyan and so is trunks. you dont just cut out half your being when you fuse. i think ssj3 is the hardest form to achieve. but it was easier for gotenks because of his half saiyan potential and his durable fusion body. also he couldnt do it on earth because you need to be in a dimension that can handle it all. time chamber/otherworld. hence why vegeta never achieved it.
Even with the extreme power he has, I would still take him on.

@054martinm It didn't have constant ratings. It had good ones to start but those fell as time went on. Why? Because the majority of viewers were people who wanted to re-live the experince of Z on TV...what they got was Kai. So 1 person changed the channel, then 2, then 4, then 8, then 16 etc. Soon it's rating had fallen and it wasn't making the money to keep going. Z had the ratings to keep going and it did. Naruto was an adaptation but it got cancelled. Stop denying the obvious. Z > Kai.

But it's still clearly the superior. If it is (sorry was) as good as you say, no one would be arguing against it. Z = 30+ years. Kai = less than 2 -___- Clearly it is the better show

as has been stated; what is strong in the DC universe isnt necessarily strong in the DBZ universe. if they were balanced in power due to some event; Goku's and Superman's abilities would allow for what would no doubt be the greatest fight of all time, but due to both sides having the will to keep going even after death it would no doubt end in a tie. while i love goku i respect superman. if this fight ever is made into a video it will no doubt be at least 4 hours and sell more than can be made

Goku and tien were already faster than the speed of light at the end of Dragonball. cuz in the tournament tien says to goku "even though you can see me, it doesn't mean u know where i am." (he was not using the afterimage). the only explanation for this is tien was moving faster than light an travel. and since goku turned out to be faster than tien. by the time he reached ssj3 he is around a billion times stronger and faster. the show is not done at full speed.

Both Goku and Sups can crack a planet in half like nothing, but its hard to measure their power against one another because they operate under different rules.

Not one film I've watched ever came to close to the epicness of DBZ! . Dragonball Z was one hell of a show; from SSJ1 to many more awesome transformations. Every character is well developed too and it's great seeing how Vegeta himself changes over time :)

Goku will live forever. To those who grew up knowing him, watching him, admiring him, we may leave, but Goku? He'll continue to live on for generations somehow. His legacy will spread one way or another. He won't be forgotten, he can't be forgotten. He is the greatest cartoon hero there ever was. It's because of his personality that made us grow to love him and what he has done. As kids and as adults...at least, that's what I believe in ya know?

i agree superman would lose to goku, but its important to remember his status as being the first real iconic superhero. if anything, dbz owes a lot to the man of steel and other classic comics.
With that said, goku it is safe to say is now the superhero of our generation. Just as superman is hated for his simplicity at times, so is dbz. And we love him for it. No matter how much naruto/bleach/one piece fans come about to show hate, goku will always be our number one guy.

@LtSarge I believe there is no reason for fans of those shows to come and hate on DBZ. If they do,they're either stupid or don't know that, at least, those three shows were inspired by DBZ (and I'm saying this as a DBZ and Naruto fan). Despite DBZ having a somewhat simple and straight forward storyline (in my opinion), it is still a very enjoyable show to watch and has been an inspiration for many other media. That said, DBZ and its characters will be remembered for many, many years to come.

if you really know goku, then you can easily see that he is the japanese version of superman, a nearly invincible hero with a heart of gold, who fights the world and universe's toughest villains and is actually just like superman, one of few left of his entire race and his planet destroyed when he was a newborn, so if i had to choose in a fight with both superman and goku, it would be a draw for me

@thewhitefang16 In the original japanese version, the race is known as Saiya-jin, with the suffix -jin being used in the same manner that we would -ese, -an, or -ian to denote a person belonging to a certain race or species. Like the Namekians for example are known as the Nameksei-jin (the -sei is a term used for denoting it's a planet). So Saiya-jin is just the original way of saying Saiyan.

if pan is a 1/4, their children are 1/8 and then goku jr. is a 1/16!!!!
so even if you are a 1/16 you can turn into a ssj. but the why did i read that pan couldn't turn into a ssj because she is a 1/4 saiyen(read this in budokai tenkaichi 3, the video game).
so there is no fucking rule for ssj, because akira never thought of that. dragonball is awesome abnd the best anime ever, but not logical in any sense^^

one way, or ITS ABSOLUTELY this way. we just dont know. "Pro causa, non causa."-which basically means just bc one thing happens and then another thing happens, doesnt mean either thing caused the other thing to happen. no one can say, "oh half saiyans cant be ssj3." bc we really have no real supportive evidence to support that. we have goku who IS a full saiyan, and gotenks who may or may not be. so that "only whole saiyans can go ssj3" and suppositions like it are just that. supposition.

@Striker091593 gotenks is still half human as goten is half saiyan and so is trunks. you dont just cut out half your being when you fuse. i think ssj3 is the hardest form to achieve. but it was easier for gotenks because of his half saiyan potential and his durable fusion body. also he couldnt do it on earth because you need to be in a dimension that can handle it all. time chamber/otherworld. hence why vegeta never achieved it.
