  • yeah i fixed the black screen thing. when you turn the psp on hold down the R button and you will be brought to a menu. from that menu select plugins and you should see something saying popsloader.prx. Enable it and then exit. When you boot the psp up, you will be given a choice of popsloader 3.00 to 3.71. Choose 3.71 and that should make the game start

  • dude, i tried what you recommended to fix the 'black screen' thing, but when I selected 3.71, my psp just froze. i'm also running cfw 4.01 m33-2. any suggestions?

  • I need a bit of help; I have version 3.90 m33-2 and I followed your videos like it was the Ten Commandments; however, once i put the eboot+key into the ff7 folder (in game) and try to run it from the psp it says the data is corrupted.

-the game size is a bit smaller than the one in your video

    -1,541,934 KB (my game size)

-Everything looks fine up to starting the game

  • Please help i have followed instruction on video carefully but when i start the game everything looks great ecept when i hit start new game it crashes ?? i am running 3.71m33-4 anyone know why?

  • thanks so much!!! I just recently got to Disc 2 on my PSP and it wasn't working. I didn't know how to set up a multidisc EBOOT but its all working now..THANKS!!

  • Oo yeah and the compressions number u need to put 4 of them (9 9 9 9) that's it really... it works for Final Fantasy 9 as well... just get the codes from the cds and u good...

  • Yo I just did it for Final Fantasy 8 it works perfectly the only difference with final fantasy all the 4 cds have a different codes so u need to put 5 dodes in the cmd twice the 1st disk and once the 2nd and once the 3rd and once the 4th. It works on 3.80 m33-5 and 3.71m33...I tried with 3.90 gen and it's not working...

  • my psp says 'the copyright protection information is invalid' i did everything he said to do, i have psp version 3.9 as well and tried with the same game but the PAL version of final fantasy 7(in german). help appreciated.

  • i only got a 32 MB memory stick. ddddamn it.

  • I cannot get the file to copy onto my psp! I keep getting this error message. "Cannot copy EBOOT: cannot find the specified file." "Make sure you specify the correct path and file name."

Any idea why this is happening? ty

  • I think i know what your problem is... You may be removing the USB cord just enough to unhook it but not enough to tell the diffrence.

  • My EBOOT.PBP is also only 1,541,988 KB not 1,542,174 KB like his is...my computer must've done something or I missed a step. Can anyone help me out?

  • if you downloaded it from the internet like i did it should be around your thing... people may of compressed it a little.... but if anything it should work

  • Thx os much your ideo is amazing, FFVII is working just perfectly

  • I've done everything he said yet when I attempt to play the game it says, "The copyright protection information is invalid." I went back and did the tutorial twice, looked at my game disk, and entered it exactly as he said. The only thing I think that is wrong is that I am currently using a PSP slim version 3.90, but he says 3.71. Can anyone help me?

  • OK Guys, discard my previous comment! I got FF7 working pretty well. No freezes, but, the music is running fast, and then kinda jittery at times. It seems to have no effect on the running of the game, though.

I'm running it on Popsloader, 3.71

  • Hey guys.

I can successfully create an eboot for FF7, but am not running any custom fw's. Obviously I need some sort of modification. Is there a way of doing it without messing around with pandoras?

    PS- I'm running OFW 3.95.

    What are my options?

  • hey~thanks for your tutorial it was really helpful after all the mess i've went through!

i now succeed to create the multidisc eboot of ff8 but when i play it on psp it blacked out right after the warning page!

i am using the 3.90m33 firmware... what should i do??? i don't want to give up at this point~

  • and i did use .bin~

  • bakchiqueen you need popsloader search popsloader tutorial on youtube

  • Hi garnet99999.

I've got the right size EBOOT.PBP (1.47 GB) and KEYS.BIN files after a converting them, and put them both in the PSP/GAME/FF7 folder as you said to do but when it comes to playing it i get the following error:

The game could not be started (800200E5)

  • do you do everything the same in your tutorial for a single disk game like resident evil

  • nope, just use IceTea for that!

    Makes it very easy...

  • once i have downloaded everything how do you change the start up menu so it is like this one on this vidio. Final Fantasy VII - Multidisc Popstation PSP 3.71 M33-4 i know im bein fussy but if you dont know its ok thanks

  • If you download the entire popstation tutorial

I provided in this vid. or the vid before this.

You should have the same! You can change that

by just changing the images. in e.g. photoshop.

    The .png files.

There are also alot of site were you

can download all that crap.. me, I dont care

    that much.

  • i need help i downloaded final fantasy from the internet.. nd when i extracted them.. there 3 eboot files.. how can i make them into 1 eboot file????

  • I explain that in the videos! watch...

  • so once i have downgraded to 1.50 i can just upgrade to 3.71m33 strait away usein the pandora battery let me know

    thanks

  • Downgrade using pandora battery.

Then upgrade to custom firmware 3.??

From that you can upgrade to higher...

  • alrite mate can you tell me how to update my psp from 3.71 to 3.71m33 i havent got a clue thanks for the help

  • Thats not possible! You have to downgrade it first to 1.50.

The only way to do that is by using the pandora bettery.

Or you must wait until there is a 3.71 downgrader or above.

  • can i send you my psp an let you do it for me because my computer is to slow an old to do all this let me know

    thanks

  • Lol... I'm from the netherlands...

I don't think so... If you can view youtube

your computer must be a bit up-to-date.

You dont need to have a good pc to do this.

  • very good tutorial. I did everything you said and it worked perfectly. I did it with Xenogears, but sadly the game freezes the instant I get into a fight. Ive tried so many ways and I can figure out why it does this. Do you have any suggestions? I ripped it from my own perfect condition discs.

  • I had the very same... On the beginning from ff7

When the movie changed into the game (intro).

The mistake was that I used .iso! Therefore

in this tutorial I say... use .BIN!

Other than that!... Use Compression level 1 !

And use .BIN! If that doesn't work... Try to

rip the discs with the exact same program I used.

It should work! If you have any problems...

let me know and I'll try to help you out

  • thank you, im goin to try what u said

  • I tried everything you said this time around. I re-ripped it with Magic ISO, I did both compression lvl 9 and THEN 1 when that didnt work. Made them into .BIN files. Nothing works. I guess Xenogears just doesnt wanna work. When I made it an eboot with popstation by zinga burga it works but that only makes one disc at a time...wich will make the game unplayable when I have to switch. /sigh

  • Strange... I'll try to make an eboot myself with Xenogears...

    I'll keep in touch

  • thanks for helpin out bru

  • hey i just finished disc one of ff 7 on my psp and i downloaded disc 2 but my saved file from disk one wont work /: i know that its probably cuz the saved file id and game id dont match, does anyone know a way to change the saved file id to be the same as the disc 2 id???

  • i followed your tutorial to the letter and have to say it is by far the best tutorial yeat but i cant get mine to work i have the eboot and the keys.bin made but it wont work

  • Place those 2 in one folder in the folder GAME

    Root>PSP>GAME>FinalFantasy7>EBOOT.PBP-keys.Bin

It should work... make sure you have version

    3.71m33-4 Don't need kernel!

And make sure the keys.bin is the same

keys.bin as you converted the eboot with.

If you have problems... try mail me

    and i'll answer them.

  • Hey great job, got it all working, does work on higher versions, i'm on 3.90 m33-2. thanks!!

  • instead of .iso or .img or .bin could i use .pbp in the command prompt to convert to a multi disc

  • This was the best tutorial on Youtube. Thanks now all I need ta do is buy a bigger memory stick tomorrow. Just a quick question, is it possible to put on 1 disc at a time?

  • 1 disc at a time? please xplain and I'll try to answer :)

  • Never mind that Stupid question. I followed your tutorial and I have the eboot.pbp on computer for FF9. Will this play on my psp slim version 37.1?

  • As far as I know.. it should work on both

fat and slim psp. As long as they have

3.71-m33-4.. Probs this will also work

    on higher versions.

Have fun playing the games :)

  • great tutorial man! It was well constructed! nice and ez! What can I say? its perfect!
