As an Electric Vehicle (EV) hobbyist, I agree with Dr Mark; to convert the 225 Million existing vehicles in America, it makes more sense to change the fuel tank and add CNG injectors instead of gutting the whole drivetrain and rebuilding it as an Electric. BUT.... EVs are cleaner and much more efficient than ANY Internal Combustion Engine, so EVs should still be at the CENTER of the Long Term Plan. EVcarMan

Absolutely! EV's specifically series hybrids are the future but we need CNG to bridge the gap while we wait for battery technology etc. Thank you for your comment.
