  • you know I'm coming to wreck your life

  • This is some great rare video.

  • first time i have heard this... not too bad..

hard to compare to an iconic, pioneering, conceptually unique group like sonic youth tho.

  • @scottpastry

    Nor nearly as goofy.

  • @MarsHottentot goofiness is subjective.... resounding music industry influence and recognition is not....

  • @scottpastry

    The Sammy Hagar Defense?

  • @MarsHottentot not at all.... im happy to acknowledge sonic youth are much more well known and that that has no bearing on the 'quality' of their music..... i suppose the beatles were a sell out?? lol

however i give credit to anyone who can pioneer a new sound, goofy or not....... but historically speaking this is hardly pioneering or, in hindsight, inspirational music......

  • i don't know if they as serious about creating Art as sonic youth.......they're kinda trashy and devil- may-care alot of times......yet their energy was always sincere and you could tell they enjoyed what they did.

  • Never saw em live (not sure if they even came to the UK tbh) but LOVED the records. And they still sound fantastic. Live Skull need to reform NOW! IBx

  • makes Sonic Youth look like Dave Matthews band

  • Fucking awesome. These guys have to return.

  • @MarsHottentot FEI - Mark C is in a new band called Outpost 13 with Stu Argabright (Ike Yard). REALLY good - you can find some stuff on the Tube. They're touring spring 2012 - let's get out there and support 'em!

  • RAT Ar ta Ar trat rAt Rat

  • Yeah! Let's see some Rat At Rat R, too! Anyone?

  • wow. too young to have seen them live. this is a treat. thanks

  • I love the guitar interplay between Mark C. and Tom Paine.

  • practically everyone i knew hated this band, like most of the experimental bands from that era who came out of new york.....to latent ears it seems to have sounded like a load of noise, but there's layers of things happening and very much planned out: that's the genius of it.

  • darrenfinizio - hear ya' man - none of my friends got it either! - Awesome Band!! & always thought the same as you - may have sounded like noise to some! - but their music is very dense, multi-layered, intricate & complex !!
