@imsamurai3000 Probably not right now, though I'm tempted to since I never get to use it. It shoots alot faster now with a guarder infinite torque motor than the SRC used in this video. 7.2v mini battery lets the box mag keep up well now, not that the sound control ever worked.
@DisguisedAirsofter Awesome, you should definitely post another video. If you're ever interested in selling it, throw out a price. Very interested. If not, i'll just be purchasing the same gun and throwing in extremely similar upgrades. Probably an exact clone.
Is it just me or does the Element 170% spring shoot way hotter than advertized? AirsoftGI says 350-380 fps, but mine easily puts holes in the top of a coke can (putting it closer to 450 or so). Perhaps it's just quality control, or the fact that the upgrade was pretty recent and the spring strenth may weaken significantly as it breaks in. (I did a google search on the element 170% after this observation and your video came up, lol)
@flyingfish555 Mine shoots about 450. A true 170% should be 170% of the TM muzzle energy, that is, ~0.74J. That would put it at 1.26J, which is ~368 fps with a .20g bb. (my 210% shoots near 500 instead of ~420 like it is supposed to) The problem here, is that element followed PDI's % series springs, and PDI completely failed at following their own power increase percentages. This is also noted with guarder SP springs, they are apparently rated for velocity with .25g bbs.
@DisguisedAirsofter Ah, that explains a lot, thanks! The funny thing is that I'm running this on a stock AIM v2 gearbox! Well, stock except for the contacts/wiring and the shims. It will be interesting to see if it lasts with this spring.
@Incuby Yes, I know. The wiring still sucks right now, among other things. I do hope you aren't generalizing at the rate of fire given by a LiPo, because I've built guns that fire over 50 rps with a 11.1v.
@DisguisedAirsofter hehe u are not the only one ^^ But this sounds more like a 9,6V - i'm comparing with my MK42 from A&K with a 150M Spring. Are u using antiheat silverwire?
Some of it's silver wire, some is just other random wire. I'll be rewiring it with some nicer 14 AWG wiring or something one of these days along with a good mosfet. I also checked my LiPo with a multimeter after I made the vid and it was pretty well dead when I made this vid. Granted, the SRC motor is a pretty darn slow motor. It's quite strong, but it's very slow. I don't really feel like changing the motor now anyway, since it was free.
22 rps, yep, that's what it's shooting right now. Quite a bit slower with the 7.4v though, very nice for covering fire too, it's effective out around 250 feet right now. Might get some torque gears and a stronger spring.
Sorry, I have one, and the range on it pisses me off to no end. I think I may have to just copy what you did here because 250 feet of effectiveness (a little less at 400fps probably (the field limit around here)) with 22rps sounds like good times. Would you kindly let me know what all you did to it, so that I can copy you and rape people over here in Portland?
Hehe... I have the stock bucking and barrel in there too. I put everything in the description, except the hopup mod, (modified G-hop) which honestly didn't do all that much in this gun... All you really need for this gun is get a normal rubber o-ring for the cyllinder head, with a little teflon tape if it needs it, piston AOE corrected, m130 spring, torque motor, bearing spring guide, mosfet, 16-12 awg wiring, deans or other high current connector, and a big battery.
@DisguisedAirsofter Damnit. Most of my problems are accuracy and range related (my hop up sucks epic balls, and causes Jams and shit all the time). Although I did have the stock spring in it until recently I stuck an M130 in it. Only getting like 350fps with it...seriously pisses me off. I sealed the piston head with a new o-ring and teflon tape so it nice and tight, no air leaking out of it at all, and I even have a new o-ring air seal nozzle in it. Can you do a video on the G hopup mod?
@DisguisedAirsofter None taken. I have fixed the internal compression in the gearbox, so I know for a fact that all of the air is getting out of the nozzle and none is escaping through any of the seals. What else needs to be fixed? At this point the only place that I could be losing that much air is in the hop up, or in the seal the nozzle makes with the hop up.
Yep, that's got to be the seal to the bucking and barrel. Does your m249 have accuracy issues as well? Otto's m249 shoots low fps and is extremely inaccurate because the barrel and hopup do not properly lock together and the barrel and bucking can reciprocate, leading to the possibility of jamming and the certainty of air loss.
If you have AIM or Xfire, you can PM me your name and we can chat more there.
Do you build people guns?

@tromboneplaya22 Yes, I build custom guns.

@disguised, so how did you get the sound control to work? Or do you just keep it on autowind you when you shoot?
MrJuij 1 month ago
@MrJuij It had autowind in this video, I wired to a pressure switch shortly thereafter.
DisguisedAirsofter 1 month ago
@DisguisedAirsofter Thats smart! I would have never thought of that. But yeah I usually had that setting for long periods of time.
As for the pressure switch can you explain it to me more in depthly. I plan on doing this now :P

Any chance on you ever selling this beast? ;D
