  • 20 bucks? i saw it reduced price today at kmart when i got kevins light cycle for 14.95 and the light cycle for 8.95 :D and lol it does all this when u put a figure in the light cycle :D:D:D

  • 20 bucks? i saw it reduced price today at kmart when i got kevins light cycle for 14.95 and the light cycle for 8.95 :D

  • in the movie two people can ride but now only one!

  • i have got the light runner and your ment to put his identity disc into the back of the seat and the lights work

  • you say aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa a looottt aaaaa

  • @TheSoveriN Yeah, I, uhhhh, do. ;) You should take a look at my "About Me" section on my channel sometime. :)

  • @TheSoveriN LMAO Soooooooooooo, aaaaaaaaa,um, aaaaaaaaaa, true, aaaaaaaaaaaa, I think.

  • Thanks for the review. The ones I saw in the store, including the one I bought, all had scuff marks all over. It's a shame, really, as something like this doesn't normally happen with other toy manufacturers.

  • I was able to fit Sam in the disk socket quite easily. Quarra was a tougher fit due to the rigid plastic skirt she has. I actually had to pop it out of the joint to get her left leg into a seating position.

Anyway, once you get the figures in the socket, the lights stay on for a long time (20 seconds) when in "on" mode.

  • The figure is simply too big, or the light runner is too small, because in the movie, it wasn't open-cockpit.

Also, no, the grinding noise you hear is simply cheap bearings, it makes a jet-like sound in the movie

  • @SwamProductions Yeah, I made this vid a couple of months before the movie came out, and found out about the light runner differences when I saw the movie recently too. Thanks for mentioning it, tho! :)

  • @SwamProductions Nope, it was open top in the film, and their heads did stick out just like they do on the toy.

This thing is pretty much dead on in scale and design (same goes with the open sides and bottom with the legs). IMO, a complete steal at this price.

  • @SwamProductions no it was an open cockpit i watched the movie 3 times :D

  • No floor board as a tribute to The Flintstone : )

  • @boeingnz LOL! ;P

  • tron toys looks really awsom, i dotn really dig movie toys but tron is the first of them... im more of a transformers person.... the scuffings probably due to manufacturers expecting that they wouldn sell lol, but hell are they wrong :)

  • in the movie..the car has a top and full floor board, interior is white lol EVERYTHING has the neon lights lol

  • @sexyboi142 also...it only has a steering colum on the left side

  • thumbs up if u think this guy sounds like Steve from american dad, not trying to be rude or anything, u sound alot like him, in my opinion

  • The reason the front rotates is because it's designed to go off-grid. Light Cycles can travel on the terrain it can.

  • it didnt work cuz it was on try me. i hav the vehicale n it has to be on. jus thought u should know that.

  • This is the 2nd vehicle I want. I hope they make a figure of Quorra.

  • I still have not purchased this... btu the way it sounds like a rain-stick.(that grinding as you call it) it seems to me that it has ball bearings inside the tires to make it "roll" better on the wheels. I know one thing....just tire on wheel would not roll that smooth, the bikes have some friction but don't make that rain stick sound... so my guess is ball bearings inside and thats the rattling sound u hear.

  • @Aetherus69 try using Clu (if you have him). He might work. Also try using Sam Flynn as well

  • @ClimaxJumper I've already tried Sam (offscreen) and he won't fit in the socket for me (unless I stick him upside down). I have Clu (still in package tho), but I'd doubt he go in well either. egoing74 got him to work though.

As I mentioned already here in the comments, the light-up feature through the socket is really not worth the work. You get the same effect as if pushing the button loacted behind the seats. Besides, the figs sit fine in the seats without the sockets. Thanks tho! :)

  • Alright., I tried my light runner and Sam Flynn figure. The toy fits in the Socket and the light up feature works, but the light doesn't stay on long. When you snap sam into the light runner he will light up and again the light runner will light up for a couple of seconds.

  • @egoing74 Well you, my good person, have better skills than I, LOL!, but as I mentioned earlier to lunacy05, the light-up feature of putting the fig in the socket is no different than pushing the back of the button on the runner, so it's really not worth the work to bother placing the fig in the socket.

  • @Aetherus69

No biggie. Like you said previously about the gimmick and it's not a make or break for the vehicle. I will say Sam is a tight fit when you snap him into the socket, and the head is almost too snug to clear the door. .

  • I really like the design of the light runner! Looks pretty neato! But it's too bad that you can't peg the figure's back to the seat, that's really dissapointing to see :(

Does it work with the other figures? :)

  • @lunacy05 I played around with the socket on the runner (there's a tiny button in there), and all it does is light up the runner when the disc on the fig is pushed into the socket. Nothing fancier, just the same as if I had pushed the button on the back of the runner. So I don't care about the socket all that much.

Since the other Core figure have a similar placement of the disc on their backs (at least Rinzler and Sam), I'd have to say the other figs won't fit into the socket as well.

  • What about the proportions of the Sam Flynn figure?

  • @egoing74 The Core Sam fig is a standard 3.75" scale figure, similar in size to a Star Wars or Joe fig.

If you're asking about the ability to place the Sam figure into the socket, then it won't work, since the location of Sam's disc is in the same location as Rinzler's; too high on the back to fit into the socket.

  • @Aetherus69

That is too bad. The figure I would think they would design the light runner around would be Sam Flynn and *Quorra figures.

  • nice video

  • @gab7724 Thanks! :)
