I agree with SimonHitchberg. Though I really appreciated the shot of the shell casing dropping to the cement(how many times did it take to land that way I wonder).
In order to be a good "Art film", it is necessary to not only have good art but to follow the language of good film making.. the film "1984" is a wonderful example of a "art film". This film however is to random and the elements are to disconnected to portray any real meaning.
ok so here's the deal: I totally didn't understand this movie until I read the comments, but I will say this, I really liked it. It kept me wondering what was happening and I liked the way it was filmed. Once I understood what it was about I liked it even more. Just an ordinary person here who liked what I saw.
If avengingtab is right, it missed the mark. Overall superb editing, sounds and lighting.
The music wasn't emphasized nearly enough for a "climax" when it is discovered. It looked incredibly awkward with him carrying that box around, like he's pranking his friends before they shoot him (yes, they are looking at each other like they are in on some gag together, not as enemies). The girl's "tear" at the end was pitiful. It's the timing of it, and her dead facial expression, I believe.
This is art! And to pjzamor88, it is showing how we have lost touch with reality and what is beautiful. When we speak in technical languages that fax machines can understand, and that it is not until the record player is found does he realize what he has been missing.

Wow, I'm suprised to see how many A-Holes complemented you on this piece of crap project. I'm really hoping all these people are just your friends, and not really filmmakers. This movie is a disgrace to youtube. No storyline, no suspense. I should just turn on my camera, sit it on a tripod and record. Whatever I get probabaly comes out better then your film. It sucks, and screw those people who lied to you. Get another day job, because this isn't it. Sory bud, but sombody shud tel u the truth
great job bobby! this is Cyril. working on anything now? colins is coming up with a script that he wants to shoot in a few months. i think he wants you and me in it. ;P looking forward to working with you...
The finalists HAVE been notified. Perfecto! is in. To all of you, including myself, who did not make the finals, congrats on making some kickass short films.

that was a magnet or something, it's not like they just spent a day dropping a shell hoping they would get lucky

The videography was good, but the story was a bit ham-handed.

interesting concept. The back-lighting at minute 2 was a strong feature.

Crap! What a joke. You call this 'art'? If you can't tell a story or convey an understandable message, at least, try another profession/hobby!

Thank you for explaining the purpose of this film. I only wish the film itself was so clear.

Things looked crisp and clear; your camera movement was well maintained (though it's reasoning was lost at me at one point or another).
It was nice to hear such well-edited sound. Some people do not understand that this is half the battle whilst filming and slicing. Good job.
