  • Those Feels...

    In Hanako's end...

  • Dammit. I misheard 'peace out' as 'Hisao.'

  • Guy: I have a bit of a cough, but i think its okay.

    You: Well THAT sucks.

    ....I lol'd.

  • Nice interview!

  • Wow that was a great interview. I can't wait to hear from everyone else and their take on the entire project too.

  • WE NEED TO INTERVIEW EMI'S WRITER HNGGGG

  • @BlueBlackInside I'll try to get him on if I can.

  • Cpl_Crud is an Aussie! Awww Yeaaah!

  • A passion project indeed. KS changed my prospective on life, and I'm sure many other anons can agree.

  • I totally agree that Tsukihime is better than F/SN :D

Very interesting interview though, thanks for putting it up.

  • @swat2555 I am not the only one! Lol. I am glad you enjoyed the interview.

  • @Shintai123 I too am on Team Tsukihime! And it's a nice feeling knowing that we get all these amazing fan things for a visual novel before Japan for once XD

  • I'd sad that you didn't ask about what he thinks about the final Hanako script, and what are some of the major differences between his last draft and the final version.

Still, really liked the interview and hope you'll manage to get more of these up.

  • @Poki3 Well, he expressed interest in doing another interview, I was thinking of asking those questions then.

  • @Poki3 What Suriko did was basically polish the draft that I left him into a beautiful diamond. I like the Hanako Path, and I think that the team effort that followed after my departure has created something greater than what I could have done on my own.

  • @cplcrud Didn't expect an answer from "the man" himself. Thanks. Hanako's path was my favorite and the one that resonated with me the most.

  • I'd sad that you didn't ask about what he thinks about the final Hanako script, and what are some of the major differences between his last draft and the final version.

  • This guy sounds like Jonah Hill.

  • Thanks for posting this dude :D, I really enjoyed listening.

  • @undeadstreamer1 No problem, glad you enjoyed it.

  • the love, eh? i'd say a lot of HNNNNNG! went into it as well, Corporal and Shintai!

  • WHEN YOU GONNA REVIEW THIS

  • @MrFelcher09 A full review will happen soon, however before then, I'll be trying to arrange more interviews.

  • Oh wow. Australia. <3

  • It's been a while since that convention panel, good to hear that cpl_crud's voice is still sexy.

    Thanks for the interview!

  • @elinsto52 No problem, glad you enjoyed it.

  • @elinsto52 Why thank you. Next time I'll try not to be so tired.... heh.

  • It was pretty surprising to hear that were a couple of Australians on the team, too bad none of them are from Melbourne! Despite being skeptical since the 2006/2007 threads on /a/ I was extremely surprised at how KS turned out, won't lie though, I'll be feeling feels for several more days (completed it 2 days ago), such is life~

    Very insightful interview Shintai, thanks!

  • @phwooar I believe Suriko, the writer of the Lily path, and co-writer of the Hanako path is also Australian.

I am glad you enjoyed the interview!

  • I've always loved Hanako, ever since I finished her path in the demo. I admit I definitely got choked up during her path, especially the ending.

  • @Hammerman24 To be perfectly honest, so did I.

  • JESUS

    HANAKO'S ORIGINAL WRITER IS AUSTRALIAN

    YEEEEAHAHHHHHH

  • @NupidStiggers Her co-writer (Suriko) is also Australian, and is the main writer of Lily's route.

  • I was wondering how long is the game?

Do you know any other free legal non pornographic visual novels that are worth dowloading

  • @Animega888 I am not really sure how many hours it takes to beat the game, but it took me about a week to complete it personally.

Visual Novels in general do not get released stateside, the closest are hybrids, like Sakura Wars: So Long My Love for the PS2 and Wii, which is half visual novel, the other half strategy rpg.

  • @Shintai123 ya I played sakura wars and it's a really fun game. kinda wish we got more of the franchise.

  • @Animega888 Yeah I agree, since the one we got was the 5th in the series, which means we missed out on 4 other games.

  • Nice review with him. Hope you don't mind the traffic I sent VIA reddit post I made. :P

  • @vi3tb0i4life The traffic is greatly appreciated man.

  • KATAWA SHOUJO IS A MASTERPIECE EVEN THO I'VE NEVER READ ANY OTHER FORM OF LITERATURE

    xDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • Overall I think Katawa Shoujo has been a very successful mix of Japanese art design and western literature. Had this just been something imported from Japan I don't think the writing would've had the same effect. It will however, be interesting to see the feedback once this does get translated.

  • @GreyLion86 That's very true, the fact that this game was in a Japanese style, but was made by westerners, makes the game that much more of a unique and successful blend.

  • How lucky for you to get an interview!

That was really nice interview to listen. He deserves a lot of praise for making a really great storyline for Hanako!

  • @m3andchip5 Agreed, the Hanako path was one of my favorites.

  • oh man a great interview! the game is pretty amazing thanks for recommending it.

  • @bobsamurai Thanks! And I am glad you're enjoying the game man! Hopefully forneverworld likes it too.

  • This was an interesting interview from beginning to end! Nice job Shintai!

  • @segagenesis1989 Glad you enjoyed it man.

  • @Shintai123

I did! It was a great video to listen to just before I play the game this weekend!

  • @segagenesis1989 To be honest, it's gonna take you more than a weekend to finish it, lol.

  • I found Hanako's path really sad but uplifting. I agree that the Lily path was very heartwarming. My goodness, that ending was just GAR! Rin was such an emotional roller coaster that that it probably took me the longest to complete because I had to pause every now and then. The most fun path imo was Emi's path. That equipment shed scene was so funny I could not stop laughing through that scene.

  • @darkkodiak001 Yeah I pretty much agree with your assessments of the paths. I actually kind of regret doing RIn's first since it was toughest one to go through.

  • Very nice interview. Thanks for getting the interview and hopefully you can get more from the staff ;p.

  • @austimat55 Thanks! Yeah I am hoping I can do that aswell, it would be interesting to know some more aspects of the development process and other behind the scenes tidbits.

  • nice job man i love that route so much

  • awesome intervieuw even thou i dont know the man nor the game

  • Interdasting.

  • @the0michman I am glad you think so.

  • Nice job shin getting one of the writers!

  • @dabillya I am hoping to interview more if I can.
