This is the Porter Wagoner Show set that was used from 1960-66 when the show was in black and white. In color this background looks drab with the gray wood, light blue windows, and "The Wagon House" painted red. On a black and white set, the wood looks like a brown color.
I read in an autobiography of Dolly Parton's that the fiddle player you see behind Porter was really hyperactive, and he used to dance out of control while he was playing. "Mad Mac" McGahee. One time the tip of his violin bow hooked Dolly's wig and actually took her wig off during a show !
I have the Nashville Rebel on DVD. Excellent video!
