  • i was thinking about ordering a t-hex, but im still unsure, not to many testimonials on the west coast...

  • amazing fish! i fish from rocks. result is usually poor when water is merky after a storm - fish seem to go to deeper water. it doesn't seem the case in your area?

  • I am a guide in Puerto Rico and would like to use that lure here. What is the name of it and where can I get it. Thank you for your help. Captain Rafael Apellaniz, Bayside Fishing Charters, San Juan PR.

  • wow real nice, i wish i caught that throw his has on my frying pan real quicck ;)

  • wowwwwww nicee catch man. i caught a 20 pounder not too long ago and i thought i had everyone topped. apparently i was wrong, verry nice!!!

  • cool

  • left hander?? well done

  • Nice fish... must be fun.

  • Let me get this...you Caught that fish on a lure?..you were casting a lure into that mess lol??? wow holy cow!! i still cant believe it...

  • at 1:00 it looks like a snake is speeding away at the bottom right side of the video

  • That is easily a 30-40 pound fish. Man that thing is huge.

  • wat bait were u using?

  • mmmm, would be interested to see where he cast, if it was an free spool reel like a daiwa saltist one could easily cast over those 1st couple of waves

  • That has to be the worst fishing spot I have ever seen. Why would a fish live in water that churned up and dirty?

  • it was right after hurricane!

  • what are you dumb? thats the best time.. and wheres your 40 pound snap? oh you just got a lil 1 pound bream how cute

  • i would of liked to have seen you land the fish instead of going from a shot of you working it to all of a sudden having it at your feet ! anyways nice fish for sure . . .Ive caught these bastards from a panga in cabos ! they are amazing . . . whats better is sharing it with your long time mexican girlfriend carla .

  • Amazing catch, but i need to know how many times you got rocked before landing this one?

I landed 2 out of 8 in the *calm* surf, they were only about 7 pounds apiece.

I was using 25 lb. line and a calstar 530.

    Toughest fish in Baja, imo

  • yeah right you bullshiter .

  • Nagardy let me ask you something. are you retarded? have you ever fished from the surf? you use AT MINIMUM a one pound weight, usually a 2 or 3 pound one, so it'd be easy to fish in that rough of water and get a bait out..

  • ok bitch if u say so yu might be right

  • who the fuck casts 1-3lbs of weight? nobody...maybe you meant ounces but you dont cast lbs of weight. you can easily fish water that rough with a 3-5 ounce weight

  • trust me you cant i live in the carribean and believe me u need to throw that kind of weight. we have even bigger swells over here

  • the swells are bigger here in NC than in the video but we still use 3-5oz weights and it works just fine. it depends on the size of the bait and how you fish 2 though. shark fishing on the pier we'll have close to a pound of weight for the big bait but for flounder usually less than 3oz weights

i seriously doubt you cast pounds of weight from the surf

  • @spearo92

Actually if you had any sort of brain power you'd see he is throwing a 2-3 ounce t-hex lure.. bait fishing is for ignorant rednecks. and you've proved that stereotype quite well..

  • @francmeister420 when did i ever say what he was using for bait? most people who fish from the surf use bait not lures. personally im not a fan of surf fishing but its a personal preference thing. i've never even seen that lure before so how would i know if it were a t-hex or not...looks like a cheap piece of lead with eyes and a hook...resemebles a weight more than a lure. go be pissy somewhere else

  • @francmeister420 Bait fishing is not for ignorant rednecks, What kind of stupid comment is that?

  • this fake people look how the sea ruff there no way he cud get any bait out there and we did not see him reel up that fish wy he didnt just catch that fish from the sea

  • This fish, a dog pargo, i.e. cubera snapper, was caught in Mexico, about 3000 miles away from where the coral trout live and reproduce...which is in the south pacific. Don't be such a righteous jackass without fully investigating. Anger and slang are constitutions of ignorance...

  • It does very much look like a coral trout. I have never seen a dog pargo. Though I do live in QLD Aust and have caught and seen many C trout .

    Cheers
