  • only in cal what a stupid law . best thing to do is get ya a 100 round drum

  • @Renagadepatriot too bad the max you can have is 10 round magazines. yes i know, cali sukz...

  • thank you for making this video, it helped me out alot

  • i don't think it would be illegal if your rifle fires fully auto caused by bad maintenance. which means accidental happen. isn't it that way?

  • @Wiggling From what I've read, its still your responsibility. I've read about people's rifles going FA for a brief second, even a slam fire. In any case, people seem to believe that the ATF would consider it a violation of their "rules".

  • @whoscaleb you're correct, there was a case where this happened to a military member and his friends son i believe it was. Semi auto rifle fired a burst and he went to jail.

  • Great video!

  • FUCK COMMIEFORNIA AND ALL THE GAY ASS RULES WITH THEIR GUNS FUCKING STUPID IM GLAD IM IN FLORIDA

  • @101stairbornem4 AMEN!!!! Love my 30 rnd mags! East Orlando representin!! haha

  • AK is simple enough for any towel head to use, an AR really isn't complicated just got to be smarter than a Haj and you're good.

  • Dang it must suck to live in California... lucky im Texan

  • Does Nancy Pelosi need such a tool to operate her brain? If so where the hell is it?

  • @billt460 reason she cant find her tool is she doesnt have a brain and besides she is a tool

  • @billt460 To "operate" means that she would be using it.

  • I was considering getting a dpms ar15 but after watching this Im now looking for a ak74. Currently have a ak47 and love the simplicity but want lower recoil. There is no reason a gun should be this complicated.

  • @jdrock0 The AR platform really isn't very complicated. The AK is just simpler, and plus, you don't really need to clean it ;). Have you looked into an AK in 5.45x39? Ammo is dirt cheap as well, and recoil is about as much as a 5.56/.223 round.

  • @jdrock0 You might want to consider the modularity of an AR vs AK. AR system may be a wee bit more complicated but if you're one to modify weapons that flexibility can make a spectacular difference. The modularity is one of the reasons I don't think the M4 needs replacing per se, they could simply take out the old upper receiver and replace it with the HK416 upper or whatever they decide on. Theoretically it should cost less than a whole new carbine but logic usually doesn't apply w government.

  • @jdrock0 an ar-15 that is not jacked up to be Kalifornia legal is simpler.

  • just like rage340 I just got my first AR this past saturday, used your video for the take down procedure very informative.

  • Great vid man, I just got my 1st AR and took it down and reassembled it watching this!

    Thanks!!!

  • what kind of paint did you use for all the engravings? regular model type paint? if so do you have to touch it up after cleaning every so often?

  • u did a great job with this video dude

  • Comment removed

  • does the bolt and stuff have to be lubed

  • Yeah, you can lube the bolt. Just try not to put any lube on the bolt face, cleaning it is fine, but you don't want it wet or it may trap residue and cause malfunctions.

  • so you just have to lue the outside of the bolt carrier group. and do nothing to the bolt or the inside except clean it

  • @ryan97303 no you want to lube the bolt and the sides of the locking lugs and all contact areas excluding the bolt face. also you want to lube the areas outside of the bolt carrier where there are contact points. There should be four contact points on the bolt carrier that need lube.

  • Informative vid man. Well done, 5/5. I actually have a Stag Model 2 with the standard hand guard. Eventually I might put the 4 rail on there.

  • lol that optical sight costs more then the rifle

  • @Alexn1067 No, that sight is only about $400

  • only? you can get a leupold for that price...

  • EOTech is an electronic Red dot sight. Leupolds are scopes, different applications. I think Boat is merely pointing out that the rifle is undoubtedly more expensive than the mounted optic.

  • I have a question for you, what type of case do you recommend with these AR's with side accessories? I am sure it must be a pain to assemble/dessemble everytime.

  • Does it have a Barrel Shroud? You know, one of those shoulder things that goes up?

    Haha, libs is funny.

    Nice rifle.

  • fivepiece is right, an AR15 is not really an assault rifle. Just a term given to them by liberal legislators.

  • AR15 is actually a term that was created by Armalite, Armalite Rifle Model 15

  • I think he meant the term "Assault Rifle/Weapon" not the actual model number.

  • what i thought ar15 that are semi auto are legal and why is there a magazine lock

  • They are only legal if the magazine is non-detachable or cannot be removed without the use of a tool.

  • It takes a Caleb :) Great video!

  • haha! Thank you!

  • nice video

  • Thanks!

  • Great job!

  • Thanks! :)

  • you can have a pistol grip and any other "evil feature" if you use a bullet or raddlock, the overall length is over 30", and you use a 10 round magazine (or a magazine that does not exceed the 10 round limit)

  • I thought any rifle with a pistol grip is not CA legal...

  • Nope! Its perfectly legal to own a semi-automatic centerfire rifle with a pistol grip. So long as it doesn't have a detachable magazine.

  • Because the "bad guys" and gangs will totally NOT modify guns to use a normal clip release. That would be unethical, right? good grief.

  • I feel you. Anti-gunners have no logic at all.

  • that law is so stupid, one could easily attach a simple mechanism with tape that would depress that little button with a finger push.

  • That would make your gun an assault rifle. The point of the bullet button is that you won't be able to release the magazine with only your finger. You can't tape something on there and use it as a magazine release.

  • Assault rifles--REAL assault rifles--by definition have multi-shot capability (meaning you get more than one round fired when you depress the trigger). If you get one round fired per trigger pull, you simply have a semi-automatic rifle. The media like to identify any rifle with a magazine or pistol grip as an "assault" rifle because they're both lazy and retarded and the facts don't mean anything when it comes to guns.

  • What kind of Quad Rail do you have? Nice Rifle

  • This is a Troy MRF-M Midlength 9" Free float rail. I like it, thanks!

  • nobody in california has grounds to complain about the disarming of its citizens if nobody stands up and fights it. i mean really grow some balls. Cops are exempt form the "assault weapons ban" but your not. does nobody have a problum with this.

  • Cops aren't actualyl exempt from the AWB in CA. They still have to follow the guidelines for Semi-Automatic centerfire rifles. They are exempt from high-capacity magazine bans though, however, they can't use a high-cap in an "CA Legal" centerfire fixed magazine rifle as it will be considered an Assault rifle.

  • LOL-I'm so glad I'm out of calli-that state used to be the place to be-today its the place to be from!!-Well pal-i'm sorry the state of ca. ruined your ar-good thing they make a 150 round drum for that bad boy! thats what I'd have on mine if I lived there!

  • You know your stuff!! Thanks

  • california politicians are such a bunch of commies its unbelievable. honestly no detachable mags my balls. its still a nice rifle you have there tho

  • stupid liberals bankrupted California...hahaha i hope that state falls into the ocean.

  • wow uh what about the residents in California? I am real pissed on how HORRIFIC the laws against weapon ownage are, and how our economy is not great, but hey... we are struggling with it, so be happy that you are okay in this world wide struggle okay?

  • California sucks.

  • a stag... i hope it goes back together

  • Not sure what that's supposed to mean. Stags are built fine. All AR receivers and parts are essentially the same spec, so a rollmark shouldn't be a deciding factor of whether or not a gun will work right.

  • he was makeing a joke i think!

  • Well done--thanks!

  • DANG! You definitely know what your talking about LOL!

  • u guys in CA are so screwed when the SHTF. lol

  • if S REALLY H T F, then I doubt any of us would be to concerned about what the DOJ has to say about our scary rifles.

  • can u put a red dot sight on the AR 15 without puying a special part to mount it on

  • It will depend on the optic. This one did not require an additional mount.

  • did i hear fully automatic fire *drools*

  • lol yeah, doing the opposite of cleaning that part does sound fun... but no. xD

  • New AR-15 owner, thanks for this vid, great info/demo!!!

  • I have a stag 15 too. how did you color the stag emblem. what kind of paint did you use?

  • White out :)

After applying a coat onto the rollmarks, wipe off the excess using a cloth and a decent amount of solvent. I used Hoppes #9 for this one, but I think any other solvent will work, CLP as well.

  • Oh right on! white out, i didnt think of that. thx

  • That's what I did...glad to see I'm not the only crazy one out there!

  • Great Video

  • Thanks for the video, it is well done and very clear. I just bought a M&P and I now feel at ease as to the take down thanks to you. keep em coming. JG from Toledo Ohio

  • california has some stupid law

  • Can't disagree with that.

  • I live in Texas so i have no Mag limit and I dont need that mag lock. But the mag lock isnt soo bad, at least you wont blow threw ammo as fast. Cali still sucks though !

  • TX sucks too, you guys cant even opencarry handguns! we dont need permits to carry guns in utah... we can buy grenades... suppressors... armor... anything. im from CA. in CA you dont really need a magazine lock, you just cant have any 10+ round magazines.

  • That's not true at all. Unless your semi-automatic centerfire rifle is registered after the 1994 AWB, you cannot have the following features along with a detachable magazine:

    Pistol Grip

    Grenade/Flare launcher

    Flash hider/flash suppressor

    Collapsible or folding stock

    forward pistol grip

    or a thumbhole stock

    Know your laws.

  • great vid! im getting a bushmaster tomorrow and this vid helps alot!! thanks man. nice stag btw....rate 5*

  • Thanks! Good luck and have fun with the AR! :)
