  • According to Touhou Wikia, Marisa's ability can turn a tile red, making it a dora tile and worth one yaku. So why not just pon and chi everything?

  • Dora doesn't count towards a winning hand; it's only applied afterwards. You still need some other sort of yaku before you can Ron or Tsumo.
