  • That looks relly hard

  • Alles klar, jetzt bitte auf deutsch.

  • I have been playing goalie for fifteen years and I wish I had this program from the beginning! The visual lead position system is phenomenal and you will see results right away!! Get it....you'll be glad you did!

  • are you a goili?

  • Are your DVDs region 0? I'm in the UK and want some sort of guarantee that it will work before I buy it. It looks good though!

  • I got volume 1 and im def getting volume 2. Volume 1 is so well worth it. Definetly get it guys!

  • When are all these people going to stop using the butterfly and hybrid system and let loose and stop the puck the normal way like martin brodeur does. you cant use this system when it comes to desperation saves, gata learn to loosen up but maintain control of your position at all times. these poor kids look like robots on the ice. to each its own i guess.

  • @JerryFromNewJersey well there are still guys who give it all up for the save like thomas and brodeur

  • @mikamee14 And kipper.

  • @JerryFromNewJersey I know right. Your supposed to find your own style as a goalie. Not have a certain style crammed down your throat.

  • @RedHockey10 haha ok you go ahaed and jump at the puck and ill use this style and make the save. you can still have your own style.

  • Got the dvd

  • I like the lightning

  • this looks like a great system

do you have camps for goalies in canada???

  • Looks like butterfly to me!!

  • @MrAtom1016 what they mean by hybrid is its a new OR hybrid way of training effective goalies

hybrid: a composition of many elements

  • Thomas Greiss<33

  • just go for it!

  • im in first year midget hockey and ive played player for 4 years but i have always wanted to play goalie. i was going to this year but i already signed up as player so they didnt let me. i was wondering if i should play next year. i am pretty good i have played goalie whenever i could i just never had the equipment.

  • @gocablmakinupab now they want me to play this year i dont know what to do!

  • I just ordered this set of DVD's and was wondering if they're worth the money. I haven't seen them yet or any goalie training DVD for that matter. I just started playing net less then a year ago and have trouble closing my 5 hole. I'm 5'7" and wear reebok 34+1 pads. I loosened them and that helped but still not fully closed? any advice or do I need 34+2's or 34+3's? anyone have advice for me?

  • @hockeyfan1983 no offense but it's not the equipment. I played goalie back in the 90s when plus sizing wasn't around. After a 5 year break, I'm getting back into goal tending and the new style of play. Just keep working on dropping to and recovering from your butterfly. If you have time, strap up your legs at home and just sit around in your butterfly while watching tv...it's all muscle remembrance.

  • @audiogeek thanks for the help. yeah I just am new and was wondering if it was me or the pads...figured it was prally me haha. either way I love playing net and have fun either way. I do like my reebok pads but don't know the diff from other pads cause I'm new to playing net. thanks again.

  • @audiogeek any tips for me? last time i played in net for a full season and for full games was when i was 13, i am 21 now and in 2008-09 i was just a practise goalie, and i will be putting the pads back on again soon and all these videos are making me scared cus idk how to do any of this all i do is kinda play like donimik hasek and thats it

  • @hockeyfan1983 i am 5ft7 as well you should try getting a 32 inch pad, thats what i have, your knee is suppose to fit in the knee craddle like the area that your knee is suppose to be

  • @Jsouthwell2006 thanks man but our lower leg size must be diff cause my knee is dead center or the knee cradle. I heard all pads are diff. who knows man but thanks for the help bro! go wings or who ever you root for anyways!

  • @hockeyfan1983 your knee is suppose to fit right in the knee craddle so you should try out a smaller pad, like 32 inches cus we are the same height and you are very welcome and i like any team i have lots of jerseys in my closet and 2 of those jerseys are red wing jersey so ill say go wings :)

  • @Jsouthwell2006 I took out my thigh rises and I wear knee and thigh pads. with those on my knee fits right in the middle of the cradle bro. I hear ya I love hockey too but I only have wings jersey cause I'm from michigan and i bleed red wings hockey!

  • @hockeyfan1983 i could say that i also bleed red and white cus i am canadian and i am sure that you already know that our flag is red and white lol and i guess if you wear a knee/thigh pad then you need bigger then 32, the pads i got were on sale so i got em in 32 so i cant wear the knee/thigh pad any more, i got some nike bauer pads when bauer was known as nike bauer but what i dont like about them is that they were made in thailand, bauer should move the factory back to canadian

  • @Jsouthwell2006 yes they should. next pads I get will be vaughn's cause they're made in michigan. I didn't know that when I got my reebok's. they're nice pads and I like them. maybe I just need to wear em for awhile. only been playing hockey for less then a year. I'm getting the new bauer x 50 stick though...they're sick man!. however their sizes are diff so watch out for that. bauer's 28 1/2 is the same size as reebok 26.

  • well that was a waste of time ill never get back

  • will u guys plzzzz teach how to wrist shot with a goalie glove and blocker

  • @imfromcolorado thats always hard for me also it is in the actual dvd but you just have to buy it

  • give me a stick and a puck lets see how far sliding gets you kids

  • @Wilsondano1

wow, you must be really good considering that you are bragging to a bunch of random people ,who honestly don't give give a crap, on the internet

  • @Wilsondano1 you probably suck so much at hockey anyway

  • @Wilsondano1 sliding wont get them any where, you should play against me i still know how to stack the pads and roll around like dominik hasek to stop pucks, but i live in canada and you most likely live in america

  • @Jsouthwell2006 i live in canada and i love dominik hasek

  • Whoa. The goalie machine marches on.

These guys are elite goalies indeed.

I think that this would be a great fundamental course for any one with a passion for goaltending. The Hybrid/butterfly is a guide not a stone.

You'll figure-out how to stop shots once you have a strong understanding of how to get there, and then what to do (once you get there). The rest is plain 'ol hard work and never give-up. Never! " Oh that goalie was a little weak on the 5th shot. What? Where were my defence men!

  • these guys are elite goaltenders, the best of the best, good job guys!

  • their good, but they dont stand out, they rely heavily on technique, a goalie needs special qualities to be above the rest

  • you want elite?? look up wgoaltending dude with red amd black pads, whoooo!! hes good

  • yo that 1 kid had kippers mask 1:39

  • no i know him hes john dugas. hes really good. its acctually a custom mask

  • thats john dugas hes backup for hm varsity now

  • Hybrid is a very effective style but it all depends on your weight and size. As a current BCHL goaltender, ive noticed the more elite goaltenders are stand up

  • yea if your a fatass like the Jr B goalie in my organization

  • i dont get this hybrid thing. yes butterfly is a big part of todays game and sop is stick handling and making saves standing up. but that doesnt make it a mix you dont have to always do butter fly you should be able to read the player and how there going to shoot and react to the shot, you dont automatically go down. Also good stick work is key but it always has this is everything a good goalie in todays game should be able to do

  • haha in the words of zach sikich "hybrid" = "hybread"

  • andres franke rules!

  • which dvd is better, vol 1 or vol 2?

  • definately volume 2

  • GDI goalie training is wayy better

  • SOMEONE ANSEWER THIS is it like a mixture of butterfly and standup while u add in flexility and more stick handleing???? and is this video teaching u how to play hybird style???????

  • Yes, yes, yes, and yes. :)

With the way they game of hockey is played today, hybrid - the blend of butterfly and standup - is most effecient. I recommend that you try it.

  • efficient*

  • yes i did see improvement in my game mostly on wrap arounds

  • ok so its like a mixture of butterfly and standup while u add in flexility and more stick handleing. this video is teaching u how to play hybird right?

  • Comment removed

  • SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

k well nice vid but im a butterfly goalie but im starting 2 realize that i play like a hybird goalie. my question is wat is really the difference

  • hybrid can make saves standing

  • so can butterfly goalies....

  • is that Beau Erikson? in the logoless RBK's?

  • so have any of u guys seen improvement in your game with this dvd and the 1st one, and which part of your game have u felt improved the most

  • i think i improved on my wrap arounds

  • is miikka kiprusoff there one of the maskes looks like his

  • Zach, great videos. Thanks for all your efforts in putting them together! One comment; I'm only 5'8" and play in 30+ beer leagues and from my experience, I do better on long screen shots by not going down into a deep b-fly but rather b-flying with a high torso because if I get too low, I lose too much vertical coverage and it's harder to come up to a shot than go down. Your suggestion to cover low is probably the right one for taller goalies playing at higher levels though.

  • i live in central texas and the closest ice rink is like 1 hour away so im practicing to be a goilie so mabye i can play street hockey while i work my way up to being a college then hopefully the AHL

  • i love these prohybridtraining vids ... and your other vids too... im soo subscribing ... keep up the good work
