Prof. Miller, Ok lets talk science. How do you know that god made the 'rules of the game'. As you said any absence of evidence should not be considered as evidence. So what is the evidence to support your hypothesis? It is faith based and hence its not science. Sure humans can compartmentalize this issue of science and religion but that says nothing about the issue itself.

The correspondance principal relates to how many theories are more "evolved" and modified from earlier theories. Einstein's take on Newton's law of motion works better when we're talking about things in space for example. The correspondance principal took Newton's idea and expanded upon it while still retaining the original formula. As such for creationism to replace the theory of evolution, it has to keep a bit of the same things Darwin taught.

I am thoroughly convinced that evolution is a means by which God used and continues to use to bring variety to the Earth. I find no fault in Darwin, he was an inspired man seeking for truth, and he found some. His findings have inspired others to make great leaps and strides. It seems pertinent to me that if evidence is there then it probably is true or may be true that is the wonder and strength of the science, and evolution by no means discredits or destroys God.

Actually the reason for the exclusion of god in a scientific argument is precisely for the reason that reason and scrutiny cannot account for him. Evolution, as in all science requires that the theories match the facts. Creationists look for facts that match their "theories." Unfortunately there are NO facts to support ANY of their claims. That is not to say that god doesn't exist at all, we just can't detect him so we do not allow for arguments from faith in scientific inquiry.
