It is 720p, but like all other cmos camcorders, for some reason they use rolling shutter instead of global shutter (which the image sensors do support!). That is why you get all the distortions (rolling and wobbling).
Mimerq, Thanks for taking the time to honor my request. I've been wanting to purchase the Sanyo HD2000 but to date, it's still not available in the USA. The picture quality is astounding. I had to view your camera mount several times to finally get the orientation,Thanks. Also, after some effort on the internet, I was able to locate & purchase the LAST CD in stock of El ritmo (no longer in production), It was pruduced in Germany back in '99. Enjoy your vacation and keep those videos coming!
i dont think that was 720p, more like 720i or some kind of interlaced mode but good filming!
