To this day, QB's call audibles after seeing defensive set ups. TO's are called - and they are quickly recognized because ALL TEAMS study the tapes and recognize them. That is why it was denoted a 'minor infraction'. The advantage was to know this quicker - and while J. Johnson said that a lot of teams did it, the Pats took the heat (their bad). It is a major issue like nude cheerleaders would be (huge fine/lose pick). But a minor advantage which is why the Pats got to keep their bowl wins.

Actually what you SHOULD have used was Manning did it in less attempts, that would be a better argument. 497 AT for PM, 590+ for TB. Manning started yes, but played very limited minutes. Playing the 07 Dolphins, Jets, and Bills 2 times each is an easy schedule, yes. They didnt get very many injuries which i a blessing..but why keep the starters in all game vs these teams? Yes, we are lucky to have the rivalry because when they slack off, the Steelers go to the Super Bowl!! I dont think there will be any unbeaten teams this year as the Colts are hanging on by a stretched string with all their injuries and I dont think the Saints are good enough to beat the Pats.
