@Agueart The least expensive bolt on kit will still set you back 40K. The more expensive 1000+WHP kits will set you back more than 110K, even more if you got an E-Gear. For a used 2004 Gallardo with about 15K miles, your looking at around 130,000. So its not necessarily everyone who can afford a Gallardo that can afford a TT kit.

@terraflata While 40k is expensive for an entry level kit you have to think of things as far as relative expense. Used Lambo 130k, used S4 12-15k, stage 3 S4 mods cost about half the price of said used S4. Same ratio as the Gallardo, also if you bought a Gallardo and cant afford an extra 40k you may be living beyond your means as your income should be at least triple the price annually to insure said car and afford a home unless a rich parent bought you the car.

@Agueart A used Stage 3 S4 can be had for 10K, considering B5 S4's were only made for two years 2000-2001, age rarely has anything to do with price. Not being able to afford the extra 40K may not mean living beyond your means though, it just means that you were able to afford a $130,000 car and not a $170,000 car. Mind you, I would take a Gallardo over a Stage 3 S4 anyday, even if it was slower, instead I have to roll with my A4, which will be faster than both when I am finished.

I looked into an S4 but they're way too expensive to mod as par my yearly income.

I do have a 1.8T, but bored and stroked to 2008cc, studded, forged, port & polished head w/ high lift springs, Ti ret. Cat cams, every single seal and bolt is brand new. Will be running a HTA35r with full race manifold, no cat, no A/C, stripped interior (for now), and 3/4 of my exterior replaced in RS4 carbon fiber (should weigh about 600+ lbs less than stock)

Its the more expensive version of switching your vw bug into M (or S) and pushing the stick to the + and - to switch gears. The real manual cars (including lambos) have a regular stick shift, and a clutch. This is an automatic.

The B5 S4 is a beast, you can easily run 400 hp on a stock engine with ko4. If you have around 35000$ you can get the " insane power" kit from AWE ( i think) to bring the car to 800 whp...

Vast offers a GT28 kit with billets for 9k including a tune, dp's and mani's. You'll get over a 1000hp. Even if you build the engine, you still wont spend 20k. I already bought my GT25 kit from Vast and am having them build the engine. 17k altogether including labor and a few other parts.
