you allways see fords and dodges all lifted up with stacks and shit but you allmost never see chevys like that because fords and dodges need to be lifted up and have stacks on them to make themselves look tough but chevys dont need that because they have all the balls
i bet it would be a different story if the trucks were the same height... that plays a major roll in things... the point of where they are hitched and the ways they pull when lower have a major advantage...
@masonbaker1954 wrong that hitch hieght does affect it somewhat but wieght and tires affect it more, traction is key-the truck with the higher hitch is at an advantage because he is actually lifting the lower trucks back tires up thus giving him less traction
the X is the weight advantage and it has the hookup angle going for it to because its actually pulling up on the chevy reducing the weight on the ass end of it. plus the chevy broke traction before the X did therefore the clear winner of this one is the chevy with a lot of disadvantages. whoever breaks traction first always looses. my buddy has a 1/2 ton 2wd and when he does a break stand and looses traction you can lean against the front of the truck let off the breaks and it wont move.
another broken Ford driveshaft they sure look tough but really got nothing for balls. What an American disgrace of a vehicle. Ive never seen a ford do anything at a truckpull but BREAK!!!!!! Our v10 250 at work is a DOG!!!! nothing for power feels like an old chevy 305 of the late 70's
before all you chevy girls go wild and put down the ford...and even though this looks impressive ...its not a case of a chevy pulling a weak ford..its obveous to see both trucks have enuff power to over power the tires traction ...its a simple case of who has better traction ..thats all
@jmloudon97 Better tires? his were twice the size and had good tread, more weight? he outweighed the Chevy by almost double probably. foot to the floor? did you see how much it was hoping and foot to the floor usually doesnt win in pulls like this...
@Deere615 The chevy dumped the clutch which threw the excursion off you can see once they start bouncing its all over, good tread on mud tires is worse than having bad tread on whatever tires the chevy had because there is less surface area, therefore less grip.
@Deere615 Smaller tires would equal a lower gear ratio for the Excursion which in turn would provide more pulling power. Also "MUD" tires are not the best for pavement so I agree with jmloudon97. I also think whoever gets the jump has the initial movement of motion going in their direction which can also help.
@jmloudon97 actually the smaller tires the better, its wight to surface ratio, if u have big tires the wight is put over a larger area then a smaller tire, just like u can run over ur foot with a big tire and not break itu cant do that with little tires
@jmloudon97 its height worked against it. its front end wasnt planted like it should have been because the chevy didnt sit as high so it pulled down on the back end which took weight off of the front. and about the only thing putting the pedal to the floor does in a pull like that especially with the front end hopping is it blows the front dif. apart on the inside.
those trucks are not stock so brand bashing is pointless
