I agree with ashleyxxxmarie, but hopefully the slight cheesiness of the latest ones is to throw us off guard. Whatever goes up must come down- in this case, and in any good creepy movie or series, there's always some lightheartedness and fluff along the way so the viewer doesn't know when to expect something unsettling, and the 'holy-shit-I-ain't-gon'-be-sleepin'-tonight' factor remains in balance. I do hope that this is the strategy.
