  • the magic of centripetal force :D

  • @50calabyte me too

  • WHAT SOURCERY IS THIS

  • would it still work if i slaped it out of your hands

  • would probably be good for delivering coffee without spilling any while running with it

  • where the hell would you hang this from or do you just walk around with it like an idiot?

  • Every time I listen to this song, the image of Jimmy spitting into the cup pops into my mind. That a boy Jimmy, that a boy!!

  • Used to do this with water in ice cream buckets when I was little..

  • A couple of months ago I asked "What sort of sorcery is this?" Two people have answered. The two weren't able to spell "centrifugal" or "centripetal" or whatever it is they meant correctly. What is wrong with you, people? Do you just say whatever comes to your head? Gosh... I'm glad I don't need these youtube commenters to lecture me in physics otherwise I would be pretty fucked.

  • @xarepe1 lmao what kind of sorcery in fuckin deed....

  • awwhh i want to buy a jimmy. -_-

  • 0:33 the mug flys off

  • 0:33 the mug fly off

  • EFF LOGIC, SCREW GRAVITY.

  • ¯\_(ツ) Oh Gravity.

  • look out for the retard that got out of his cage

  • of course anyone watching should know (i hope) that the only reason the coffee doesn't spill is because the cup and apparatus are in motion, if he were to stop suddenly when they were horrosontal or upside-down then the coffee, and mug, would tumble out of the holder.

  • @Grnd91 ^^ true geek right there, bro.

  • oh dear lord, they're beginning to understand and destroy physics! RUUUUUUUN!

  • That's one way to stir your coffee...

  • Long live centripetal force! =)

  • What is this black magic?

  • logic-gone.

  • What has science done?!

  • Actually, the physics is not so trivial. Not only is it explained by centripetal/centrifugal forces but also an interplay between momentum, the force of gravity on the cup and liquid, and shear strength (or the lack of it) in the handle.

  • this is the worst invention on earth. i learned the physics shown in this video my first trip to the beach at age 6.

  • @thinkgeek do you ship to Germany

  • Well, that's one way to cool your coffee down!

  • Challenge accepted.

  • From all these flirting and dating links posted I think somebody likes Jimmy. Lol

  • 0:30

Never again will you spill hot coffee all over your girlfriend's back, A must have for safe sex.

  • Nice song :P

  • How much for a Jimmy?

  • i bet 15 bucks that itll spill in my crappy truck, but it is still cool

  • Witchcraft!!

  • It does work great going up and down stairs with a very full cup! There is another youtube video where you can see this. BTW, I can also run with a pretty full cup.

  • it's levitating coaster

  • Centrifugal force? I'd be much more impressed if you know, he was walking down a set of stairs with a full-to-the-brim mug than swing it around. (Although I do like the note that it's great for science teachers.)

  • You can do that with any mug. It's a type of force that keeps the cup to the platform and the liquid to the cup. Nice try at a product, though. :]

  • Or just put a lid on it.. but whatever

  • It's great for those of us who like a full cup of coffee! And how many people can say that they have never spilled while carrying a full cup? -- spillnot inventor

  • Hilarious, but seems like an awkward way to carry a mug around!

  • I want Jimmy only... how much is he?

  • Why are you doing that outside? Scared of spilling the coffee inside?

  • A lot of their newer products don't have much appeal to me :(

  • yeah it's cool but...why should i'd want that for? haha

  • Knowing me...I'll let go or it'll break and hit an old lady in the face XD

  • I call shenanigens!!!

  • Laws of fluid dynamics <3

  • lol ok so u used gforce to keep the liquid in the cup. i can do that without that thing. but if u can run down a hallway with it and not spill a drop, then we'll talk. :P

  • HE'S A WITCH!!

  • @r2d2qa It's not witchcraft, it's science.

  • cintrifical force can amaze retards

  • @Answerzombies centrifugal* lol

  • @Dawnpool1 lul♥♥♥

  • @Answerzombies isn't it "centripetal" force?

  • @Answerzombies So True...

  • how many takes did they have to do before getting it right? -.-

  • -__- one of the reasons i play this video alot is cuz' of the music....not so much for the product XO

  • what about if you knock the cup... which is why it typically spills anyways...

  • Insane? Huh? I can tell you for a fact that this is how I mix in my coffee creamer every time.

  • all he's doing is using centrifugal force to keep the coffee in place. FAYUL.

  • Hold it upside down, spinning it keeps the liquid in because of the force pulling it into the cup. PHYSICS.

  • I wanna get this and just run around my house like a psycho

  • 0:27 A drip flies past the window! :O!!

  • Now comes with Phuck-Physics spray! Just spray it on and watch as your coffee floats off!

  • I cant even walk down my basement stairs without spilling my coffee :/

  • change directions at the top of swinging it, and shazam spilled. it would only be cool if there was literally no way to spill it. this is too basic

  • 0:28 I saw a drop.

  • One question... WHY?!

  • it was decaf......why is it worth not spilling? SPILL THAT SHIT

  • T_T the coffee's gunna get cold....

  • SCIENCE!!!!!!

  • And not a single drop was spilled that day... until he poured it out, that is.

  • does chuck testa know about this?

  • i did that with buckets of water all the time as a kid ^^

  • What sort of sorcery is this?

  • @xarepe1 Centrifical force :)

  • @xarepe1 centripacal force my dear watson o_p

  • Oh gravity, you so silly.

  • decaff ahw.

    that's not gonna sell it

  • When would i need this ??

  • very pretty dancing man! LOL

  • @Nght5tlkr I lol'd so loud...i just finished watching the entire series lol

  • HACKING@!

  • :O pretty frigging cool haha

  • let's say you trip and fall..

  • I think it's funny when he compensates to slow down the mug, otherwise...it would spill.

  • OMG! Basic physics :D

  • I'll buy 10 jimmys, and ten coffee no spillers and put them in unisync :D

  • MARIO!! I'm infatuated....

  • And that is how You cool your coffee

  • i bet 20 bucks that i can spill that

  • @molotovadicto

If I know my science, it's because gravity is a weak force. The speed of the cup on the holder pushes the cup and coffee into the base. The force pushing the cup is greater than gravity, so constantly spinning will stop it from spilling. Ever gone to a carnival on gone on a Gravitron where it pushes you into the wall and you can lie on the wall sideways without falling? Same thing.

  • does someone can explain why the coffe doesn't spill? (sorry for my english)

  • Fail at 1:00 His shirt and shorts are wet right next to where he's holding the mug. lol

Cool little invention though. Definitely geek!

  • Challenge accepted ...

  • This looks like fun for pranking :p

  • If he cant spill any why is he outside then he should do that on the bosses desk if he cant spill any.

  • Ah centrifugal force...

  • @Spec0pps117 ...sorry, but centrifugal force doesn't actually exist.

  • @dylanwm I had heard that, but then how do you explain the coffee staying in the cup? Inertia right?

I was understanding that centrifugal force was the name for the inertia in cases like this...

  • wtf...

  • I think you should show it being used normally, like walking back to your desk after filling the mug with coffee.

  • I think I'll save myself fourteen bucks and take my chances carrying my coffee mug with my bare hands.

  • The point?

  • Takumi could have used this.

  • What about if you move slowly...? Or not in a circle.

  • at 0:28 he spills some...

  • I don't think this counts because you are using g-force, I thought it would be some gyro thingy

  • if i can spill it do i get my money back?

  • Lawsuit waiting to happen? :s

  • WHY WOULD I NEED THIS?

  • @WaffleRepublic to do tricks

  • Okay. Now why would I need something like this? Umm. Yeah. Cool though.

  • @AIDYsPoetry mixing.

  • This is so useful.

  • ahaha didn't they make a bowl like this (for snacks)?

  • @Xoda000 kids gyro thing yes

  • terrible test for no spill...shouldve just walked with it to see if it spilled

    but it still looks cool

  • What if you let go?

  • @DeltaAlphaNuStudio From Thinkgeek's product page: "When you are walking normally, the only force acting in a direction that is not parallel to the sides of the cup is the force of gravity. (Of course, if you apply a vertical force by jerking your hand around or dropping the SpillNot, all bets are off!)"

  • Oh yeah I definitely see myself swinging a coffee mug around like that..... cool...but useless

  • i bet you 10 bucks i can spill that shit

  • @NerdHelpDesk doitfaggot.jpg

  • My mind has been blown.

  • Inertia wins again.

  • yes but does it blend

  • 5th

  • 4th lol and it seems really pointless but awesome at the same time

  • @DrewWasHere007 isnt that what thinkgeek is for?

  • At first I was skeptical.

Then he started twirling it around like a chimpanzee.

    I'm convinced.

  • centrifugal force is a bitch aint it mr coffee

  • Sick!

  • first and i probably with buy that xP
