Thanks, PJ. I like this piece quite a bit, too. I'm working on a bunch of my guitar works in Cubase right now, and this is one of them. I'm trying lots of different things to see/hear just how realistic I can make the virtual instruments sound. If I can get them sounding just right, I plan to release it as an album on Itunes, or Cdbaby.
This piece is a piano piece... However, I believe u can make a duet guitar piece out of this one. I can already imagine it with all the great improvisations played in a duet guitar. Btw, another 5 stars from Malaysia. ;)
great composition!! I really enjoy the melody in this song. It gives me a really good feeling :)
Although listening to it again, I thought that the rhythm and melody lines are unlike to be played by a guitar; to me it sounds more adequate if it was played by a grandpiano.
HEY I LIKE IT! like my music, i take it u heard my piano one then :) im the same believe it or not, i compose just for piano tho, never had lessons, awesome im subscribing :)
I think, your compositions are great, but I think,it would be more fantastic when you play these things on classical guitars.Your work is very good. And it would be nice,if you evaluated my work.Thank you for adding my channel.
I'll check your music out today for sure. I can't play the guitar, and don't know any guitarists who can play this music, so midi is the best I can do right now.
But why not perform this on classical guitar and not a midi keyboard? It just sounds way too artificial but then I am a guitarist and therefore I hate it when the instrument I love is synthetically reproduced.
I love this piece, might give it a shot on guitar. The only thing I didn't like was the repeated triple 16ths in the bass around 1:00. Would have been nice if you had some sort of melody there. But that is a very minor complaint, the piece is really great!
this is a very well put-together piece...its cohesive and very beautiful. adding the sheet music to the slides was a great touch, i love following along with the music and im sure others do too. is there any way you could send me a file of that sheet music? if copyright issues get in the way, i understand. anyway, great job, truly great
even though I originally wanted to call this piece a "chaconne" (for I use a four bar chord progression) I did want to take it to other keys, but it just didn't "come to me" when I was writing it.
I was just going with what I could hear in my mind, and writing it down. I'd love to have those sorts of tools in my repertoire, as my writing style is rather simple as of now.
Hi friend. You have some really nice rhythmic and soloistic ideas, but I think that this piece could benefit from a little more variety in terms of harmony. Although the piece is in F# minor, it is possible for you to tonicize other key centers without losing the spirit of the original key. Just something to consider.
Absolutely beautiful. I don't think I've ever heard anything more gorgeous than this in a long time. Makes me wish I would have stuck to learning the guitar.
Great job! I loved it.

I like it. To add a little more differentiation between sections put in a few accidentals around the G the F or the C.

Hey, as long as you credit me with writing the piece in any recordings you make there is no problem with copyright issues!
Send me your email addy, and I'll ship you the score.

Thanks for the kind words, mate. I don't even know how to play the guitar!... gets me thinking that I should make some "how to" composition videos.
It'd be great to share this skill with people.

Do you think you'd be able to write I classical guitar duet sort of piece? That would be interesting to see what you'd come up with.
KowboyCa 2 years ago 2
That piece is more or less a duet piece. It's impossible to play on one guitar alone.
