Cool job, but, It worries me. You know... all those nights you spent making the bracketry to hold that roots type super charger in place, and the nights spent trying to find pullies that would work, you could have been gettin' laid.
thanks, i had to fab all of the intake and drive, then found the rest on e-bay, i have some picture on webshot just search terrylittlejohn, also i have video here at my account, just search my name again.
WOW !! SOME 'INFO.' ON THIS PLEASE !! I HAVE A 1/25 SCALE " '70" DUSTER MODEL THAT BUILT AS DRAG CAR. SIDE MOUNTED BLOWER , 4 BARREL , NOZ, 6 HEADER PIPES !! FUNNY CAR !!!! CLIFFORD 6=8 HAS THE PARTS !!! I HAVE A '71 DUSTER WITH CLIFFORD 2 BARREL, VALE COVER, AND DUAL HEADERS !! TOOK ON A '396',455", AND 350" IN A OPEN HEADER CONTEST BACK IN "94....I GOT THE TROPHY !!!....
man the slant is awsome ..... id love to build mine like that . id relly like to know what all u done to it and were you got the parts ..... how much h/p u think it has ?? im going to build a my slant and put it back in my 80 diplomat 2 door.. ive seen lots of things on the enternet about them and it was moastly turbo slants but thats just sick ......
hi, í´m from mexico, you are the best, the master, really nice, i have a dodge avenger 1974, and i was thinking, put in a 360 v8 engine, but thanks to you i keep my engine 225 in my car, i try to do something like this, see you "MASTER DODGE" good luck..... peter...
Hi i can tell you they are tuff dependable engines.I could not say as to keep it ot not meaning does it run?Smoke knock or what. But if you want my word?If it runs keep it and use it or rebuild it if needed you won't regret it i promise you that.I got a 67 dodge truck with a slant6 225 it has plenty of power too.I say try and keep the engine over haul it if you have too but keep it.Oh i bet your truck is a 3 speed on the colum? They did make automatics shift in the dash deal.Thanks..
damn you puttin the pressure on that slant six and it seems to handle it quite well. I had one I ran low on oil and revved it to the hilt that never gave up in a 3 speed. Awesome engine no matter what is was in. If I an right they made a factory super charged edtion that is hard to come by but I am 100% it handled it quite well. Amazing engine, these things broke tachs decked right.
sorry what I meant to say is this little 6 was born for forced induction. And when I say forced, I mean 26 lbs of any thing! I could bump the key and this engine would light.
Very Cool !!! I just purchased a 1983 Power Ram 150 from a friend it has a bone stock 225, NP435 granny four speed 4X4 I am in dire need if ignition improvement if anyone has a suggestion.
when visitor to the track see it from the stands there are trying to guess whats under the hood, when they come to the pit and look they start shaking there heads.
My dad (a looong time Mopar guy) clued me in to the potential of the slant six years ago. Ever take the head off of one and look down in the cylinder?? When at TDC, the piston still sits down in the bore like an inch! Buy some longer connecting rods, and you've got a high compression monster! There's a few guys who drag race 'em in the quarter mile at my local track. They keep up with the V8s just fine.
Its only about 1/8 of an inch but you have the right idea. All slants come with about 8.5:1 compression ratio mill off .090 off the head and you can get in the 9-9.5:1 range that makes for a hot rod slant six! I'm building one now that will produce about 250-275 H.P. street friendly naturally aspirated on pump gas! (of cores iv done a few more things than mill the head) iv sank about $3500 into my engine thus far and Im not done yet!
this is a 0.080 over,1.78 int/ 1.47ex valves, comp .556lift/261degs@0.050/8.80to1 compression. it ran 11.85@111.65mph,5lbs boost, that is about 371hp @ the motor
all the manifold and drive are home made, it take a lot of measuring and welding, the manifold is stock cast iron, go to webshots and sreach blown slantsix you will find all my pituresor sreach my name.
