^_^" keep em comin'. Baby animals are so cute...then they grow up to be douches. Pooping on cars...eating other baby naimals, stealing oil, raising taxes, waging wars. Adult animals suck.
Thanks! That was a really nice vlog to wake up to. Not the doom of gloom of news...just some nice birdies. Keep up the good work...we are watching you...dun dun dun!
Hehe Springwatch with Bobby Llew... if Bill's ever sick you could fill in :D They are so cuute *prays that no cats get them* May I say you're looking very youthful sir? Dunno what you've done... but keep doing it! My sister (girl that made u a vid while ago) agrees :) Hope you get to film the birdies growing up. Byeeee, Jack.
I hope they survive too. We lost all of our new baby birds this year as the mums hatched their chicks too early fro some reason, screwed up climate I think, anyway right after they hatched we had a freeze and later I found bodies of dead frozen baby birds all over my yard. Very sad. I have cats too, usually the mothers dive bomb my cats and scare them off, but this year...well, maybe next year it will be ok, I hope.
Aw! How cute! At school there was a nest of baby birds near the river and some of the boys tried feeding them leaches from the river after scaring the mother bird away...the poor little birds didn't last because leaches killed them. It was really sad.
You left them exposed when weeding, do you have any plants in pots you could use to temporarily conceal them again? What are they by the way as in what's the mother bird? Cheers for the update, Lesley
Poor things... recently some pigeon chicks hatched on the window sill of my english class. Eventually there was more crap than nest but they seem to have done alright.
My main concerns were: will animals climb over, and how will the mother get them out of the nest when it's time? A bird lover could better provide a suggestion...
Well hey, the tomato fence or box could have a top, and holes big enough for the birds to go through but not other animals...
that's well good! we had some birds nesting in the wall cavity for the last couple of years but i haven't seen them this year. though in a difeerent part of the house's wall i saw some bees nesting... :S
Eeeeeee cute widdle birdies!

Put chicken wire around it in a cylinder-like fashion so momma can get in and out but don't touch nest. Just a thought.

pyrocanthas branches spread out all around the nesting area would be a good deterrent against land based predators!
