  • The so-called Death March was mor confusion than anything else. The japanese needed to get POWs out of the frontline areas, but had nowhere to put them. When Us officers demanded trucks (!) to transport POWs, General Homma reminded them that not even his own infantry rode in trucks, and that his artillery was horse drawn. he would not permit disgraced POWs to ride in comfort as his soldiers marched on foot. It's a clash of two cultures. The code of conduct requires a fight until the end.

  • The japs never expected an honorable enemy to surrender. that is their culture, whether you like it or not. American forces surrendered far too quickly, even those some units fought until they had no more bullets. A POW was sub-human according to the Japanese and was not required to be treated honorably. Wainright stayed and fought, while McAurthur ran away. He should have stayed with his troops and fought as an example.

  • Audio waaay too fricking low. Speak up like you got a pair. Otherwise, this is not worth watching.

  • My grandfather, JUAN L. MONREAL, was a WORLD WAR II Veteran. He was a brave Filipino soldier. He survived the Death March at Bataan. He is now 95 years old. My grandfather is kinda weak already. He became the cook for the Japs but he never have forgotton his fellow soldiers who are in prison. He gives them food everynight while the Japs are asleep. True hero..We will not forget his bravery and he will be a part of our country's history, forever...

  • @kamillesantos god bless him

  • why is that when i see people comment something retarded about america or allies its always something about "propaganda", or "impiralism" and the mijority commenting shit are from child molesting japs and thier "otaku" (jap for anime nerd) buddys around the world... japan! the whole world knows about your crapfest lies and the crimes youve commited.. the truth has been spread to every free man and women . the only thing to do is aplogize and then mabey restor honor again to a once proud nation!

  • @TobiToxic666 because liberals are pussies

  • A lesson to soldiers, DONT SURRENDER!!!

  • My lolo was one of the soldiers who survived the DEATH MARCH. He volunteered as a cook to escape from Japs tortures. At night when the japs are asleep, he will give food to those who are inside the prison.they would carry their co-soldiers to save them from Japaneses bayoneta. These are the untold stories that werent told in the books. My lolo is now 93 years old. His name was placed at Bataan Memorial. JUAN L. MONREAL- HERO Death March

  • why no body makes a movie of japanese straglers after WWll.. that a good story how they survived in the junlge alone like lt. hiroo onoda in lubang island here in philippines didn't know that the war was over for almost 30 years,. thumbs-up if you agree...

  • through the history i never see worst than of the terrorism and racism of the white nations

  • There are 16,000 American Soldiers and 72,000 Filipino Commonwealth Troops during the death March. At the End of the March there were 10,000 Americans and 42,000 Filipinos left as POW's.

If the Commonwealth troops wasnt ordered by thier American General to surrender all of them would fight to the death against the Japanese.

  • The Japanese should have been wiped off the face of this earth for the brutality they dished out.

They are not fit to walk this earth, bastards, rapists and killers.

  • China and Korea should have combined forces and devastated Japan in a massive invasion in revenge for brutalization of the poor Filipinos...I'm Chinese, and I know I would have fought to the death besides the Filipinos against the Japanese if I had the chance...I mean, we're all family, right?

  • @Falamu445 where you from? mainland china? and now you guys would like to get our islands in the spratlys?? just look at ur maps. ur so far!

  • @agent1772 I'm sorry if I said anything wrong...I'm Chinese, and I love the Filipino culture and people. I do regret that China is bringing up these pointless island disputes recently, but I support the Philippines whole-heartedly in this. I love my country, but I know when it's doing the wrong thing. But every time I hear the stories of how Filipinos, even their women and children, were raped and slaughtered by Japan, I feel guilty because I think my nation could have done more to help theirs.

  • @Falamu445 In 1942 the Chinese did not have the military strength to invade Japan. They were already subjected to large areas of Japanese control. I heard a Chinese news broadcast of that peroid of time in which the opening of the news was abouit a city that had been bombed by the Japanes and that some 22000 people had been killed. At the end of the news they stated that on that day in China 45000 people had been born. Message, "You can kill us but we cannot be defeated."

  • the sound sucks.

  • ,..given the chance to make films set in the war-days of WWII in the philippines,..I could say the events are equal or rather more than those of IP man,..and etc. chinese movies that it has the like,...sad to say they do not give emphasis to it,...but rather than a love story set in the war days that in the end they would be reunited each other,...

  • it was a mistake to fight for the americans, they promise independence in 1898, broke it and took over from the spaniards. the filipinos fought on their side and shed blood but the americans would not give them the same benefits as their veterans till it was too late when most of them were dead from old age. how many of america's allies have they screwed!

  • @myairspace3xx Actually Gen. Aguinaldo was stupid to believe the American General would give him independence. Only the Congress could do that. But Aguinaldo made a deal with the Americans to give him arms and support. Like the CIA trained the Mujahidin in the 1980's to fight the Soviets then abandoned them when the USSR left. I agree with you that US screwed many allies. But these allies wanted something from Uncle Sam too. They just shouldn't be so gullible

  • Who let to this War? Of course America. They lead Japan to the War that was America's plan. General McCarthy said that America pushed the last button of Japan by stopping America to export to Japan. Japan tried to negociate but America refused that was American president propaganda to let Japan hit first so America can unite. American soldiers killed so many Japanese war prisoners because they had to feed and they didn't have food so they killed 3000 Japanese war prisoners. War is War! Forgive!

  • @musashi331 Japan placed itself in that situation. It was EXPANDING its territory by occupying China, Taiwan and Korea prior to the war. It attacked Southeast Asia because Japan wanted the oil in Malaysia and Indonesia. Who are you kidding? But then again, it is not surprising that you see it that way. That's what they teach in Japan. No wonder there are more resentment in China, Korea and Southeast Asia than in America (for the Pearl Harbor incident).

  • @musashi331

That's not true that I'm not educated whatever you have said. I read the book written by American writer and also General McCarthy himself said that in the book written in English. White never think about Asians are human and England and America colonized and slaved all Asians and America didn't like Japan because we are yellow to have a power. We made all the Asian free. If you don't believe it, why don't you ask the people from Tiwan or Indian from India.

  • Filipino's were very good to us in the Korean War and Vietnam as well. My uncle told me many stories of sacrifice and bravery on behalf of the Filipino's whose loyalties and alliance never wavered. He said to me, Christ! Why don't we just call them Americans, they sure as hell fight like us. My uncle was in all of Korea and did 2 tours in Vietnam, he said Korea was far worse than Nam. I can't even begin to imagine Bataan, Siapan, Leyete, Guatacanal and the rest.

  • There are 16,000 American and Filipino soldiers but wainwright did not surrender every philippine commonwealth troops fighting in the Philippines, there are 120,000 Filipino Commonwealth Troops and 20,000 American soldiers in the whole philippine islands during that time

  • Very well done, enjoyed watching your video, I have walked on some of that ground, a lot of blood was shed there, I plan to come back soon and see some more of it..

  • The Filipinos are a great and proud people, free and independent. Brave men fight and die for what they belive in, the filipino blead and died and earned their place in history. This American says, God Bless the Filipino in their Greatness. Good true friends of all free people!

  • @Phalamis The Filipinos are all those things. And, I might add, the Filipinas are darn sexy, too. God Bless 'Em.

  • araw ng kagitinganan falls on april 9. not on the 19th

  • Have you seen VENOA file which is shown on CIA and NSA web sites? From the file we all know how we have been controlled by Soviet Union. I guess it might become difficult for American to justify what you did to Japan. But, I don't blame you American. Rather, I respect American for your attitude to show such file to the world though it will be against your justification for the ww2. It is chivalrous.

  • World War 2 didn't start 'with the bombing of Pearl Harbor', for chrissake. It began with the German invasion of Poland in September 1939, and the subsequent British declaration of war on September 3rd.

  • @peterkar in the pacific theater ww2 started by the bombing of pear harbour

  • nice

  • Remember Hull Note!

  • I believe filipino fighters are still the best the only problem is we filipinos dont have the proper resources to buy or to build such weapons to defend our country, not like the US and other super power country. Philippines is a small country compared to the US and we never invade other country's as well, not like US until now still trying to make war with other nations like in the middle east that is whats happening right now.

  • @mystah99 You ungrateful little cocksucker.

  • @kreepeemann your a motherfuckin kreepeeboy fisting your moms pussy everyday cant handle the truth you go home and blowjob your self hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • Great history and video!

Some Americans believe that Filipino's owe them our freedom from the Japanese. This video proves that is pure ignorance. Filipino's never surrendered. It was Gen. Wainright who surrendered to the Japanese.

It is the Americans that owe us a lot. US Supreme Court recently ruled in favor of Philippine WW2 veterans a $198million settlement that US owed them over 65 years ago.

Filipino's should be very proud of their heritage and history. We are fighters and survivors.

  • @AccordGTR Do you really believe that you would have been able to defeat the Japs without our help? No way, my little brown buddy. We both fought like hell. Now stop being a crybaby.

  • @kreepeemann Not even the US can win a war alone, without Allied help, buddy. And remember, the 3rd world Army of the People's Liberation Army of Vietnam kicked out the US imperialist forces from their country. You don't think the Filipinos would have eventually done the same to the Japanese? Heck, if it wasn't for the French, George Washington would have lost to the British. So quit being so arrogant, my fat redneck buddy ol' pal.

  • @AccordGTR Take it easy, poopstain. I thought we were friends? No the Japs would have eaten you alive. America is not an imperialist nation. I hope you won't be asking for our help when the muslims start beheading you, ingrate. The only thing you were right about was your comments on Vietnam and our Revolutionary War. Now go read a book.

  • @kreepeemann I've read a lot more books than you have, beer breathe. Why would the Muslims behead me? I buy dozens of fake DVD's from them all the time over here. What costs you $20 for a new movie costs me only 80 cents. I guess thats why Bush was so pissed off at them. haha. America is the ONLY imperialist nation today. You're too drunk to realize that cuz you don't read your own history. I just arrived from Ho Chi Minh City. Many US tourists there also. You should check it out.

  • @AccordGTR I thought we were discussing WW2, not U.S. Policy. I see you are a thief as well as a moron. Good luck, dickwad.

  • @kreepeemann Japan would eat us alive true but the scene and the humiliation at Vietnam you American rednecks had experienced would have been decades earlier marked in history books. It would not be you Americans that would experience it though...

  • @pcekeep You make less and less sense with every post.

  • @kreepeemann what sense do i need with a racist redneck who forces his imperialistic views on people.

  • @pcekeep No. The US military weren't allowed to take strong action. If the US congress and on of the US presidents allow the US ground force to defeat the NVA on their home ground then US would have won. However, US ground troops were never allowed to effectively eliminate the NVA supply lines. Thus, the war dragged out. Also it was a political loss. The North Vietnamese and their militias loss were in the millions and nearly all of the Soviet advanced equipment sent were destroyed.

  • @916ppl "The US military weren't allowed to take strong action (in Vietnam?)" - I think you only know propaganda. 400,000 men, B-52's from Guam, Carrier battle groups, fighter bombers in Thailand is not "strong action"?? US was afraid of China/USSR if they crossed the border.

"US ground troops were never allowed to effectively eliminate the NVA supply lines" - US kept it a secret about their war in Laos and Cambodia to cut of HCM Trail which failed in cutting off VC supply lines.

  • @916ppl A loss is still a loss no matter how many excuses you find. The winners of the war are those who achieve their objective and Ho Chi Mihn and the North Vietnamese did despite the casualties they had. It was to kick the Americans out of their home soil which "they" achieved. The United States on the other hand did not which concludes the fact, despite of them being tactically superior to the North Vietnamese still lost the war.

  • @pcekeep so what does that have to do with any of this video, go fuck yourself and merry xmas, ass hole

  • @AccordGTR Ironically, Filipino veterans got nothing from the Philippine government. They are not even honored as US veterans are.

    The irony!

  • @laplaplap3x "...honored as US veterans are" - there is no honor in being a US veteran- that is just propaganda. Like the story of Private Jessica Lynch in Iraq was BS - she never fired her rifle. Also the story of hero Patt Tilman killed in Afghanistan turned out to be he was fragged by his own men. US military uses these "awards" to cover up the truth that war is really illegal and morally wrong. It's pure Hollywood. Double MOH- winner USMC Gen. Semdley Butler said "War is a racket"

  • @AccordGTR Sure there was the araw ng kagitingan, bataan day, etc but ask a common Filipino, they won't know what the heck is that day for.

  • @laplaplap3x I agree with that - Young and old Filipino's do not know their history. My Dad who lived in Manila in WW2 when the Japs occupied it still doesn't believe that US G.I.'s fired on innocent Filipino civilians eventhough it was documented in Discovery Channel complete with survivors telling their harrowing story. He still believes Americans were our saviors and believes they are benevolent people. True history is hard to believe.

  • My friends and I looked forever to find a DVD of this movie, after I caught the last parts of it on tv. Read the book GHOST SOLDIERS by Hampton Sides that leads into it. And then watch the movie again.

It is a shame that more attention was not given to this and some similar accounts of WWII, Vietnam, etc. Know history to avoid repeating it.

Know history to respect those who fought for what WE enjoy, and for what other countries do, too.

  • cant even fucking hear yolu

  • the filipinos did all the work , fighting , most sadly, they did most of the dying

  • @dimetroniod123

The Filipinos had been dying and more at the hands of the Japanese for decades before this. Also the Chinese, who loved us during WWII. The Japanese were NOT good neighbors, until several years to the day before I was born. And then a few days later, again. That is History, though, and all should know it.

  • @dimetroniod123 Read a book, you stupid shit.

  • @dimetroniod123 It's their country you stupid little asshole!

  • that ain't a forgotten story

  • the audio is weak.

  • @pcekeep

Im so glad you put that japanese guy in his place. You are so wise. Your respect for gay people and the way you never discriminate or label people racially is admirable. You never jump to conclusions or make wild statements without proof.

    /sarcasm off

    Seriously. Youre retarded.

  • @Qyburnator i know... i am retarded. i don't respect gay people at all nor believe of their existence as a norm. i believe they are rather confused people or just people brought by choice. anyways, i don't care about that jap if i hurt him. he insulted my nation and i will bring forth all means to bring him down. i will show no mercy!

  • @pcekeep You actually dont understand hypocracy do you lol.

  • @Qyburnator i do understand what hypocrisy means you daft.

  • @pcekeep lol youre living in the past meideval man if you really hate gays

  • Let us honor our past by reaching for a better future. Let us bridge our divisions, build upon our hopes, and accept our responsibility to leave this world more prosperous and more peaceful than we found it. Together, we can do it

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, all this was done hundreds of years earlier in the United States, to the Indians, in what was called the Trail of Tears. A death march of men, women, and children to rob them of their lands to make way for a gold rush and clear the area for rule by the state. The thing is, you shouldn't of been fighting the Japanese, or the Nazis, you should of been fighting the United States as well, all states are evil. Today the US tortures 2 million people in prison.

  • @cobrachoppergirl too bad you are not one of them, slut, your channel sux is it 4 friends or 4 subscribers. Loser.

  • @cobrachoppergirl Actually the US gave the Philippines a proper education and "prepared us for independence", which our former colonial master hardly ever did.

I doubt if the Japs, Nazis or any other foreign power would have done the same.

We are "friends" with the US but only because of that past.

  • @AccordGTR I feel great that my birth country US (I am Asian) keep its promise for once. US promise the Philippines its freedom in 1946. This US did. US pull all its troops and most of its politicians. (I am not sure about the companies though). Today Philippines are okay. They just have religious argument between the minority Christians and majority Musilms.

  • @916ppl You mean Christian majority and Muslim minority. It's not a "religious argument". It's about political autonomy, territorial dispute and economic development. Philippines do not discriminate against religion. You're right, Philippine economy is growing at 7-8% and doing well. Re: promises - US has broken a lot of their promises but Filipino's have held them to it, sometimes having to go to the US Courts and media to make them keep their promises to us.

  • @AccordGTR Filipinos actually do. Not all but it is still rampant. More often than not, Muslims are thought of in the Philippines as aggressive, traitors and vendors of pirated DVD players(ironically, many non-Muslims sell that too).

You complain too much about the US breaking such promises...maybe they did it some cases but come on look at your own government that is terrorizing the people not only through arms (military killing suspected activists) but also economically.

  • @laplaplap3x You are taking my statement out of context. I never said we are better. I was just 916ppl about a historical fact.

People have this view of "history" from the media, which, more than often, is untrue, especially coming from the US media. If u want to know history, u have to read books from the people who lived and worked in that particular time in history so u will know the real truth. There are many sides to a story

  • @AccordGTR The Philippine may be reporting 7-8% growth but what is that "growth" everyday, the number of its citizens living in less than $2 a day is growing and makes more than 1/4 of the population(close to 1/2 actually!)?

But then again, it is sad that because of desperation, Filipinos tend to blame other people. Blame the Spaniards, Blame the Americans, Blame whatever country but themselves! But here's the truth it is the Filipinos themselves who are robbing Filipinos...

  • @laplaplap3x That's not true Filipinos do not blame themselves - u just have to read the papers and blogs and see how we openly criticize our own govt. I do agree with u though that our GDP growth is not a true reflection of growth. The gap of rich and poor continues to get wider. But that's also true I think in the US where you have most people middle class and then there are the billionaires and New World Order who run the lives of everyday ordinary Americans, making them do their dirty work

  • @cobrachoppergirl You ignorant cunt, you know nothing of history.

  • For all of you who respond to my posts I can say by your anger I see how wrong you all are. Japanese know true history. I see by your anger how hard it is for you to accept truth. This has been interesting for me to know that your propaganda works so well on you. Maybe someday you open up your eyes to the truth.

  • @SaitoYoshida LOL why dont you open your brain to realize the truth!!! RETARD!!! Even the japanese govt knows their involvement in WW2!!! that is why they changed the constitution and no longer maintained powerful weapons IDIOT!! helped the philippines???? LOL the japanese murdered & raped filipinos & chinese ONLY A RETARD WILL CALL "RAPING: A HELPING ACTION

LOL why would i even bother with you when the japanese govt banned the sale of books about JAPANESE WAR CRIMES to cover up their shame LOL

  • @SaitoYoshida I think you're a high school drop-out.You don't know anything about history.Let me give you an advice,go to your room turn on the tv,and just watch sentai. That's the only thing that your little mind can comprehend.

  • Audio?

  • i Hope in some up coming years of war in the worl> if the phillipines again will be involve. filipinos never surrender we fight till the death of our mother land

  • I read the book "Ghost Soldiers" by Hampton Sides. I couldn't put it down. It was so well written, that when they talked about the prisoners inside the POW camp, I felt like I was amongst the prisoners. Same goes for when he wrote about the soldiers who walked 30 miles in the jungle to rescue the POW's. I recommend the book highly!!

  • i wished that i was a soldier during that time.. i will kill evry single JAPANESE army that i will see.

  • @mannie71170 I will kill them and put them on the meat grinder...

  • @mannie71170 my grand father and my uncle both did thid march....

  • @Mr1phoenix My greatuncle invade Philippine with Japanese force. He write to family in Japan and say all Japanese fight with honor and much bravery.

  • @SaitoYoshida japenis are gay they will never fight fair , remember the nanking>? the death march>? attack in Hawaii>? japenis deny all of those massacre wheres you honor? More Power to Filipino fighters who fight those bastard japenis

  • @netjap23 Philippino fighters were gay and asked Japanese soldiers to screw them up the butt. But we say no thank you, we are only here to help your country so you can have prosperity. It is well known in Japan that all Philippino men are gay and they call others gay because they think the whole world is like them. I do not think you are bad because you are gay, but you are gay nonetheless.

  • @SaitoYoshida say what ever you want , but them again let me give you an advice, read history book and stop pulling theories out of your ass so we can make a happy world

  • @SaitoYoshida ohohohoh you have the balls to say that Jap. Let me tell you some thing or two. Japanese culture is copied, Japanese culture is gay, Japanese are gay. If anyone were faggots it would be you Japs. Who were fond of cross-dressing and sex change isn't it you?

Anyways, it is obvious that you just know nothing but jackshit. I can't blame you though.

  • @pcekeep I can tell you are angry that you are gay. It is probably from low self-esteem that you are this way. Just because you are gay does not mean you have to hate yourself. Your obsession about things that are gay is a clear sign of homosexuality. The fact that you think bad=gay is a sign of your poor self-esteem. Spend more time in therapy and less on youtube.

  • @SaitoYoshida wow, you speak as if you know everything you are saying jap. let me tell you one thing. how about reviewing the posts you posted here on this video. it is obvious you are the ones starting this gay shit all along.

  • @pcekeep No - I finally responded to others who seem to think all Japanese are gay. Or they think the war was started by gay people. Actually, it just points to all your stupidity. From what I know of gay people they are not likely to start wars. All of you who start the posts about being gay are just pointing to your own adolescent insecurity about being gay. Too bad. So let me tell you one thing. Re-check the posts gayboy.

  • @SaitoYoshida Gay people are not the ones who start wars? I see... It is gay people who pose themselves as men, wage war abroad and brag of their manliness hiding the fact that they are fucking men behind their closet. My posts were half as insulting as yours. It was by your posts in the first place, of you accusing my kind of being gay that I responded in the same manner as what you are doing. You told Filipinos were gay is that a sign of being secure?

  • @pcekeep ??? not only are you dumb, you are a hopeless liar. You also have some strange ideas about history, gays, just about everything. You also fail to take responsibility for your insulting posts. Like most people who know you, I am through with you.

  • @SaitoYoshida oh, me dumb? it took you a while to reply on my posts. also you were the ones who started insulting us. you're the ones who should take responsibility for your shit!

  • @SaitoYoshida where did you learn about this kind of information? so your saying there's a manipulation of history? can you prove this? if you can show me any documents about this I might believe you.I saw your channel, your saying that the jap is the master of asia,I don't agree with that.

  • @SaitoYoshida is your real name is ruby saito yoshida? do you study at philadelphia high school?

  • @SaitoYoshida you're lucky your grandparents survived the atomic bomb, so you're here now posting shit on youtube....LOL

  • @SaitoYoshida

    anyways...

Give a Jap a gun among unarmed Asians you will get the Japanese Empire

Give a Jap a gun among equally armed Asians you'll get a pussyass faggot bitching about his life killing himself

  • @SaitoYoshida Anyways is saying "You will die, all of you will die!" in front of a POW a sign of helping nations? I guess not, what you jap want is simply one thing, Domination!

Divine destiny is it? You I think up until now you jackshits still seriously believe it. But sorry, the Chinese were far superior than you are. They may be stupid but you are fools!

  • @SaitoYoshida You must be one of those remaining few Japanese brain washed by racial ideas. The Japanese treated its Asian neighbor worse did than the Western world did. The better supplied over 20,000 Japanese were far weaker than the poorly equip 16,000 Americans and Filipinos. Lucky for the Japanese the US led force didn't know that the Japanese were on their knees and waiting for a finishing blow. Thus, allowing the Japanese to recover.

  • My father, Pfc. Vernon M. Abbott was in the 6th Rangers. He is in this video holding the POW in his arms.

  • japs=faggs

  • anyone who can give me more information on the "april 19th day of valor " pls leave me a message, i would like to walk in the foot steps of our soldiers. tia

  • fuck the japs and viets!!! punks ass asian fucks!!!!!

  • well, fuck the bringer of death of war, from what ever axis country you are from.. World axis is evil punk..

  • poor audio :(

  • Japan wanted a bigger land area outside their own country by force and the result was devastating, sorry they did it after the discovery period was over , so the the warriors of the free world smashed them,

  • nice video but poor audio

  • japanese are beast!!!!!!

  • i think that such a comment will do no good as world war 2 is already 60+ years ago. the best thing is to pray that no such world war will ever happen again. the japanese have already apologized on their war of aggression and learned a bitter lesson on that stupidity of their military caprice.

  • MABUHAY!!!

  • "The Filipinos did most of the fighting and most of the dying..." so true , the Japanese left a HUGE DAMAGE of the Philippines.the Japanese was OUTNUMBERED but the fighters of the Philippines were UNTRAINED and UNEQUIPPED that much... its really a good thing that the Americans help the Philippines

  • the ruskies could have helped but for some reason didnt

  • ...How the hell would the Russians get down into the Philippines? They were a minor border conflict with Japanese and Russian forces in 1939. But apart from that, the Russians had over 3 million Germans to deal with on their own front.

  • i didnt mean specifilcly the philipines retard

  • What's with the rude attitude? I didn't imply anything rude for you to seditiously respond to.

  • its a habit

  • hope the history repeated... lets see how filipino brave . . . just w8 very soon world war 3...

  • Agreed.

  • yes, there would be world war3 soon but only you will die....... im excited on that day jerk

  • im proud to be a Filipino

  • @emokiller2325

So what? During this time the islands were captured by japanese people, it has little to do with the Islands.

  • Thanks for posting this. It isn't told enough and we do need to remember both the US troops and the Philippine freedom fighters who did this great and courageous thing.

Sure WWII started in Europe but the Japanese brought it to the pacific. Pearl Harbor was their first strike and was immediately followed by attacks on Guam.Thailand, New Guinea,Borneo, Australia, and the Philippines.

  • proud to be pure pinoy..!!!

  • yeah tayong mga pinoy ay matatapang talaga

  • If I say that the allied forces won the the axis, in one aspect, it's justification. War is always tragedy as everyone who is sane understand. Think about that many colonised countries in Asia or Africa could have independence through this WW2. Probably this WW2 wasn't good for winners or losers, but good for the colonised countries.

  • Just for clarification, it wasn't the japanese that started the war with the bombing. That was when the USA entered the war, which was already in progress. It was Hitler taking over europe and killing the Jewish community. It officially started when the Germans took over France and Poland. But other than that its good.

  • Hey! you don't even read the history of the Philippines, it was the Japanese that started the war, the Japanese soldier help together to conquer the island of the Philippines. but this soldier aggressive they attack the our country "Philippines". Many Filipino heroes waste their life together with American soldier. I'm saying this because I'm a Filipino. and my grandfather is a WW2 veteran USAFFE-GUERRILLA. and he told me about this.

  • You dont know your history!!

japan started the war when they attacked pearl harbor. japan planned to expand their empire by occupying the philippines and its neighboring countries. while the philippines was under Us commonwealth. thats why they are not allowed to have a large army and navy like they used to. only for self defence.
