  • just holding my hand over the mouse and moving it around hurts, without even gripping it or clicking. there is no such thing as "ergo" with mouses, keyboards, or chairs. the cure is in body mechanics and in the case of this or with painters your basically screwed, the body wasn't designed to do small repetitive motions like this. that's why it's called Repetitive Strain Injury. the buildup in the 'nerve tunnels' is PERMANENT, and even if you get it surgically removed it returns many times faster

  • any suggestion for pain free mouse [ a cheap one ]

    tnx in advance

  • @MrAlekoukos but why you do not try ErgoClick just designed for this???

  • @MrAlekoukos I use ErgoClick - I NEVER feel pain working with a computer

  • @inPB i knew u would say that but in my country i dont think tehy sell these thing although i think of modiftinbg my own mouse :D anys tnx:)

  • engrish

  • 1 million clicks in 1 year isn't that bad at all. you obviously haven't played rs....people do 1 mill click in month or even weeks sometimes when there are new updates

ps. not everyone sleeps like you do....usually I sleep once every 36-48 hours

  • would make more sense to use 2 mouses and probably cheaper.

  • A pedal switch could be great! ;)

  • I click a lot. My mouse is worn out and my beautiful long fingers have been reduced to stumps.

That is why I hate mice.

So I want an intelligent device that I can talk to using commands such as "Left click immediately you intelligent mouse device you" : )

    You get the drift.

"Click right, mister. Now scroll down two lines. I said TWO you nitwit intelligent mouse device you!"

Being able to command a computer mouse would be great.

  • @psstheyyou There is voice command software in the market, and it was also integrated in Windows 3.11. For some reasons that was not so popular, as Microsoft does not propose it moire integrated into Windows.

Seems hardware solutions are more suitable

    Nice working!

  • @inPB Every computer (every with Windows, that is, including Windows 7) comes with free speech recognition software that is almost as good as the famous $100+ Dragon software. I use it all the time. It's called Speech Recognition.

  • @psstheyyou

You can also use Voice Finger ( voicefinger.cozendey.com ) to click using your voice. Just say "click left" and here you go.

Ah, it also moves the mouse and hit keys by voice.

  • seems limp wristed

  • I leave my other hand on the keyboard ready for keyboard commands. Besides, the way I move the mouse (with my wrist) is much more damaging then clicking.

  • @ragonamuffin

But some users make 1 mln clicks per year!

For thoe people ergoclick are (this letter was typed using ergoclick...)

    Good days for you!

  • @inPB I use my left hand and not right hand.

  • btw they have this thing that you put on the floor called a stealth switch its a programmable button so i'm guessing it could be used as a left click

  • I spent 2 weeks, 12 hrs/day or more of continuous work, heavy mouse use (I try to use hotkeys as much as possible) and much typing (I touch type, dvorak). 3 days ago my right hand fingers started to hurt so I used the mouse with the left and now the left hurts even more. I had to hunt-and-peck these 2 comments wwith 2 fingers, and clicking hurts like hell. I have loads of stuff to finish, all is delayed. Be warned.

  • I think this is not practical because the left hand has to press shortcuts, Esc, ...

A better idea is a mouse that has that palm button instead of the left button, I'll search if one exists.

@kuza261 it depends on whether you're a heavy user or not. Working "heavily" using the mouse and/or touchtyping more than 8 hrs a day, add to this not taking regular breaks will guarantee an RSI so soon.

I think the mouse is much harmful than the keyboard due to the unbalanced load.

  • thats gay im on the computer allmost 24 hors a day and iv never got carpltunnel so stop trying to sell crap on other ppls pain

  • "allmost 24 hors a day...."

    and when you sleep :-)

  • cyborgs dont need sleep duh lol

  • So your saying your a homosexual who uses the computer 24 hours a day and your angry because you've never gotten carpal tunnel from using a mouse before?

  • why do you need 2 mouses if u only need one -_-"+

  • So retarded "commercial"

  • i'm a beast, so i dont really come across winpish arm pains like you but thank you for reminding me that im great

  • i play fps do clicking a lot doesnt bother me

  • Not the same use...

  • The well tempered clavier! nice song choice(Don't call me an idiot if you don't understand.)

  • Nice! I love the music! When I grow up I want to be a "techie"

  • @darkshadowstorm2 & @93Gaara:

Why do you feel the need to describe yourselves like that? ;-)

This is an informative video - ok, maybe a bit cheesy - on a device that can prevent some arm problems. RSI is a serious issue (Google on that acronym if you like). In other words, so you can understand it:

    STFU U NOOBS!!!1

    ;-)

    Thanks for your video inPB!

  • i like your vid : )

  • fucking retard :p

  • retarded

  • wtf??

  • You could have just used the laptop clicker with the mouse movement... Nearly as good, and a lot cheaper and quicker.

  • sure, you can use left hand by this way!

But to make double click - you will click 2 times by left index finger. With ergoclick: it is ONLY ONE movement by left palm - slightly turning of the palm.

No fingers involved. But you are right!

If not to use ergoclick - much better to use way you proposed.

  • Right. But point of ErgoClick that you use LEFT PALM, slightly bend PALM ONCE and it lead to DOUBLE-CLICK. bend relaxed left palm in other direction - and it lead to SINGLE CLICK.

If you like to use notebook clicker with the mouse movement, sure you will like even much more to use this pair: mouse + ergoclick.

(this reply was written with ErgoClick use with FUJITSU notebook and Microsoft mouse)

  • dude was the video a music vid?????? or computer vid

  • I play pc games 12h a day and if you look

  • its stupid,i know people who are using a computer for decades and they dont have a problem.

  • There are who have, and there are who have not. Probability of CTS will rizes with over 5000 clicks per day.

  • thats bullshit ,and you act like a spammer.

Ergoclick is bullshit and useless just like the no hands mouse.

  • i've been using two mice for years. one for the left hand, one for the right. i go back and forth.

  • I was born disabled & I think this looks excellent for me!

  • You can order ErgoCLick at ErgoCanada web site.

  • i use a trackpad

  • instead of aquiring these things you could just take a break of about 5 mins every hour and exercise the whole body.

  • RSI is a serious thing, I got this illness a few month ago and I lost my job because my boss didn't want a person with that illness. Now I am still recovering.

Many, Many thanks for this video.

  • crap

  • i think that this is a brilliant idea. i am a data entry clerk and i know the pain that comes after being on the computer all day. thanks 4 da video.

  • get a computer-pen or touchscreen-laptop..

  • good but not for all tasks. You need to grip computer pen as the ordinary pen - it is painful if to work for hours. Try also please to work with CAD, 3D programs with touchscreen.... The are jobs where PC mouse is the best, and thus Ergoclick here is becoming a real safer.

  • I am a cad drafter and I've got serious wrist problems. I wish I had known about this sooner. Everyone who is making stupid comments just doesn't suffer from pain. That is all I gotta say.

  • Thank you for support. Ergoclicks are available at ringpenusa DOT com web site.

  • well, piano players develop RSI too. I can see this tool could be useful with another type of mouse, perhaps hands free, and really the more alternative mice you have the better, as it's good to switch them up several times a day to help prevent te same repetitive motion all day long. If you have two healthy hands, good for you. and if someday you notice your hands going numb and wracked with pain, don't say you weren't warned.

  • This is what youtube became over the time.

Very sad. Stupidity have no limit

  • WTF!! Hyeah, real good idea, now make them using an additional hand to do the task. left hand for clicking? right hand for moving? this is the stupidest thing i've ever heard of. are you kidding? GET THE F**K OUTA HERE!

  • Hi,

according your logic, most stupid things are musical instruments - you play with both hands here.

We talked to Englebart, even mouse inventor prefers both hands to work.

So, mind your words !!!!! (about F####) ;-)

  • LOL. stop trying to sell this pathetic product. a mouse is a one handed tool. One hand for the mouse, and another hand for the mouse button? Get the HELL outa here. You Crazy!! it's not an instrument by any means. I KNOW BECAUSE I play piano, guitar, harmonica, flute, and i play trumpet. try and test me on the subject of instruments, i'll drop knowledge bombs on your arse all day long buddy. You should send this video to saturday night live, i'm sure they'ed get a laugh out of it.

  • Hi, musician

We are not selling, we use them!

See what Washington State Dept of Labor & Industries Staff tells about ergoclick after test they made (you did not test, right?):

"We think this product would work well for CAD drawers, ..."

"..It would be a win for many people whose fingers have been strained by constant clicking" -- tells founder of Apple HIG, consulting engineer for Apple, AT&T, BBC, Microsoft, Kodak.

  • Simply this item is not for you. But it does not mean that it is not for others, who use and need it.

But do not be judge for others. People will deside themself - to sell or not to sell, to buy or not to buy.

  • bahhhh you guys aint got nothin on me!!! my click pwnzord you

  • whats cts?

  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

  • 40 000 clicks daily can lead to VERY SERIOUS problems....

  • load mousecounter and see how many clicks you make a day. If over 3000 - you are close to RSI....

better to use ergoclick. So, it's you choice to risk with many clicks or not.

    CTS is difficult to treat.

  • I make 40k clicks a day!

  • What is RSI?

  • Well.. I'm using computer a lot... Like 4+ hours in a day usually, except late-spring/summer/autumn..
