why do so many people say the ending is shit? ... its the best ending they could have given death note and fans make up spoilers and fan made stuff anyway , if Light didn't have died EVERYONE would hate him and wish Near Beat him , but because Light died EVERYONE hated Near.. the out come of Misa was never decided... when the creator of death note was interviewed he was asked what became of Misa; he replied that anything could have happened to her but because of her shortened life span and her broken heart she probably would have killed herself.

Just remember that Misa would only die years after light's death (her natural life span) so the real question is what did she do before she died? From the manga I would say that she probably started some kind of KIRA cult.

How can you not feel sorry for him? To many people are clouded by societies form of justice from whats wrong and whats right. Sure light used people to get what he wanted which is what i liked about him cruel till the end but some where inside him was good. I know this may seem silly but I think Light and L were like friends. No, more like "frienemies" (friend/enemy). Though L died, quite a few times Light and L showed respect for each other. Light the instant L was falling to his death, you can see Light looking almost, sad and surprised, but then quickly covered it up. And before L died, L gave Light a foot message. It was like one big game until they got a stalemate. But I don't think they ever hated one another.
