At least you can hear the calling, instead of being blasted with rock music. Secondly, camera's don't show the whole picture so most of the comments are juvenile. Third, the hunt looks pretty "average" from what I've seen over the years. Why should the shooting be any good? I never see layout blinds at the trap range.
For you all out there , higher notes reach further then deeper notes, agreed deeper sounds more realistic to human ears, object of the game is to get them close......they should work on shooting , more then calling just my 2 cents
If you think there's no competition in PA, check the stats. The number 1 goose killing state in the US is PA. Check the numbers, PA=1, MI=2, IL is 3 or 4 I can't remember. I'm from MI so don't think I'm just hyping PA. I'm just giving you the facts so you can make an informed comment. The reason they killed birds is that they let them work, they didn't take a half-assed shot on the first pass. That's why they shot the birds at their feet.
If it was so awful why did the birds finish? A lot of time higher pitched calls finish birds and that's the object of the game. Just because it dosn't sound like a calling competition doesn't mean it doesn't work. The real art of calling isn't just sounding like a goose so your buddies like it, it's reading the birds and giving them what they want to hear. What the birds want changes from day to day.
As you said, it was opening week. I've had them try to land in my decoys when I was out picking up my decoys after a hunt. That said, the calling was pretty good. Did sound a bit high, but I think that has more to do with the audio playback.
@gamefreak1238 umm thats to his right but nice try
