I think people think that speed means everything, but a craft that could go, slow (not actually that slow) and low could really give a upper hand in area where jets could not reach.
Well jet fighters tend to have alot of technical problems and cost ALOT of money I know countries like the united states and russia and china would not use them as attack aircraft but im sure smaller countries would and do.
why dont you guys just ask the colombian air force and other south american air forces how reliable are they. they've been usin EMB 314 Super Tucano aircraft for quite a while.and this one dont look no different
Paul called Youtube commenters who complained about audio quality "bedwetters" in another video, and implied their problems were the inevitable result of taping in airplanes. But that's just wrong. They seem to lack the most basic understanding of how to do audio, on the ground, in the air, in the studio, wherever. Surprising, because a pilot ought to be able to figure out something that simple.
You guys should check out this months (March, 2010) copy of 'Janes Defence'...
There is an excellent article about the 'return of the turbo-prop' as a cost effective and practical solution to COIN air operations. It seems that the US military is seriously considering the idea that turbo-prop attack aircraft would be ideally suited to anti-insurgency mission in the likes of Afghanistan.
AVweb has so many awesome videos but I don't understand the sound quality. Over half of their videos are way too quiet. It would be a difficult fix as they are editing them together. Just doesn't make any sense.
We have been using the PC-9 for FAC here in OZ for years now. I think they discovered PC-7's in Iraq during the first invasion all armed up. Shoud be a good thing though.

This thing is awesome. There's no reason why something like this shouldn't go into service to supplement our aging A-10s.

@soflaav8r, his name is Russ Bartlett, not rob. He was boss of the Blues in 2003-2004. And he is my dad ^_^

Great video, but the low audio and the hissing sound is irritating.
