I totally agree..I had mine multi level fusion in 2008 june and I have been drug free ever since I had two discetomys which just made me worse....A good surgeon and support is important..2 years to fully recover to a point where thats is good as its going to get I am glad I made the choice to do it..I have a better life now than before the surgery...

Please prepare yourself physically and spiritually for this surgery...I had it 3 months ago, could hardly walk from leg and back pain. You will need support from your friends and family and strength from God to get through it. Three months later, I am just starting to turn the corner, but did it without narcotics (I don't recommend that, I just don't like them.)
