That's not true at all. Mughals defeated Sikhs then left india because of internal conflict with other Mughals. Shortly after Afghans (pushtuns) governed india and fought sikhs. @JasSingh88 absolutely the British east india company had to deploy covert and overt subversion against the rulers of the Sikh empire in order to get the jewel in their crown and advance towards Afghanistan. In both anglo-sikh war's the British army faced the toughest army in the subcontinent. Afterwards many Sikh's joined the British Indian army while some continued to put up stiff armed and peaceful resistance to liberate the Punjab homeland up until 1947.

The Sikh empire was created due to the vaccum left in Panjab after the Mughals had been defeated. Anyway an independant state will protect it's citizens from the human right violations encouraged by New Delhi.

That's not true at all. Mughals defeated Sikhs then left india because of internal conflict with other Mughals. Shortly after Afghans (pushtuns) governed india and fought sikhs. The Mughals left upon in-fighting of their own people not because of the sikhs.. Jatts are called so coz they emerged from the most abundant tribe/sect of Rajputs in the region, who were called Jats. A few families in Panjab can even today trace their ancestors who were Rajputs. In any case, ppl living in the North-western region from Afghanistan to Rajastan do not have a single line of ancestors since they are mostly descendants of various normadic tribes(including Aryans) over the ages that came and conquored the region, and later embraced the local customs,etc over time.
