  • hope you had a great time in germany :) hope to see you back again ;) xD

  • is their like buildings that kind of look like the old building back in the 1940's? i really like the architect of the 40's for Germany, is their a city in germany or any place that has a site like that????

  • hehe no buildings from the 40's.

you just know this buildings from the

40's because you only know pictures from the ww2 time.

the most buildings are very older.

    (sorry for my bad english)

  • Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof äääh Main Station maybe? It's from the 1910-20s but would probably match ur search

  • Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I lived in Germany for 15 years and I know the Germans roads, cities and attractions better than I do my home state of Ohio. My inlaws are German and live in Ruhpolding, 20 km's north of Salzberg Austria in Germany. I had such a good time. I'd love to know more but maybe it's to much to ask. No country speaks english better than Holland. Germans aren't too bad. I just learned it as I went. Well it looks like you had a great time. Thanks again. 5 stars !!!!!!

  • i want to go soooo badly! how do you communicate with germans if ur english how they understand?? well tryin get back to me thanks.

  • Most People (but not all) could speak or understand english. There were a few times where it was we weren't able to comunicate with words but managed through pointing etc.

  • the germans as well as people from the netherlands, sweden and denmark speak english very well! as far as i know it`s more of a problem when you go to france or italy!

  • Don't forget Belgium!

  • @philly442 try other languages. germany is multicultural. 60% of germans speak 3 languages or more! (i only german and english, but i am looking forward to learn spanish)

  • @philly442

Thats quiet easy: Just say: "Guten Tag, sadly I cant speak germen, do you speak english?" Many people in germany can speak english. Maybe not perfect, but good enough to communicate (My english is'nt very good, bit I think you will understnad me).

But please, dont start with "Heeeeelooooo, nice to meet you, how are, wonderfull ( great amazing" bla bla. We dont like this kind of ambency. Just say Guten Tag and ask your question!

    Enjoy your stay in germany!

  • Thanks for sharing your trip. I got to spend a yr in K town Germany back in 88 and loved it want to return one day to see more.
