  • nice camera work zooming in on the guitar outro!

  • Opening act for Loverboy back in 1980.

    Great concert in Asheville, NC

  • Wow... what can I say. I love "80's hard rock (my history of youtube commenting will vouch) ... The best thing I can say is that Randy Jackson still hits all the notes that I was hoping he would when I first stumbled upon this, and then some. The level of ambition in this song is awe-inspiring; modern bands don't seem to be up to pushing themselves. Zebra does this effortlessly. Classic.

  • "no description available"??yes, the profundity of this beautiful song is ineffable!!

  • I worked this show!

  • As a personal experience growing up in New Orleans. I saw many early Zebra performances. Their own songs were good. However, Randy could slay the music of Zep (Page and Plant) at the same time. This Dude was gifted! Major talent. Always wondered why they never got the recognition they deserved.

  • I saw these guys way beck in the 80's opening for Sammy Hagar. They blew Sammy off the stage.

  • No description needed. Anyone who has lived any length of time and was paying attention at all to what was happening in music knew about these guys. Randy jackson and the boys were one of the best original rock bands of the day and they worked their tails off and never got the recognition they deserved.

  • @EKLIPZENTERTAINMENT VERY TRUE..!! ALMOST ONE HIT WONDERS.! with an arsenal of great songs..!! Sad.. → SPEAKS..!! 1979!! ΦΩΦ

  • I flew from Los Angeles to see them in New Orleans. They play tonight(probably right now) down there in the surrounding area somewhere. Wish I was there............:(

  • Great musicians, music and they look like a bunch of great guys.

  • Great video of my favorite band of 30 years. Just saw them play New Orleans for the 30th anniversary show. Mark

  • @mark5268 That was an amazing show :) We travelled from Phoenix to see it and it was worth it of course!

  • I love Bill's videos. Most of them are amazingly good!

  • I remember a show at the Chance in Poughkeepsie many many moons ago. Not a bad spot in the house and one of the many places on the east coast I have caught this act.

I am screaming my head off cheering on the band. Guy Gelso gets absolutely pissed at the stage mixer and from his perch behind Randy wings a stick at the stage mixer and then one at me. I caught my stick :) Still have it. You Rock Guy!!! Tx for teaching me so much. (Stewie is a drummer)

  • @StewieFavre Great story, too funny! I saw them at the gym at Orange County Comm College in '84, one of the first concerts I ever went to, they killed live. Always thought they were a local band, had no idea they were from New Orleans.

  • Speaks Austin Park Long Island NY

  • One of Long Island's greatest bands. Period!

  • @frazzittasong

Long Island? Get outta here. They're from New Orleans.

  • @r58black True, but Long Island has always considered them one of their own as well. They have a huge following here and have lived here for many years. The Long Island audience considers them a hometown band.

  • saw them at ole man rivers bar in the 80's still kick'in ass

  • ZEBRA !!!!

  • They are a great band and dream theater covered this so well

  • Thanks to Dream Theater and You Tube,

I learned about this great song! I have to

discover the other songs from Zebra yet, but I'm very curious about that.

    Greetings Jacco, the Netherlands

  • I foud out throuh dreem thaeter as well, kinda sad i never heard of them before though.

  • @jacco1234567

    "who's behind the door"

  • @jacco1234567 Well... the entire first album is excellent. "Whose Behind the Door" is still played on classic rock radio. "Tell Me What You Want" opens the album. "The La La Song" has few words (besides La La La...), but incredible music. There are a few gems on the 2nd and 3rd album and many other songs that might not have as much long term staying power but are still excellent. I'm not familiar with IV yet.

  • loved em at sundance bayshore and love em still

  • i appreciate that dream theater revived the classic rock spirit through this very excellent song by zebra

  • Awesome band.....my very first "real" concert.....saw these guys live in Stony Brook (their signature gymnasium concert). I still can't believe they didn't reach mainstream. When I was watching these guys I remember being completely blown away......lights, sound even a kick ass drum solo. I remember telling my girlfriend at the time these guys were going to be as big as Led Zep and AC/DC!!

  • Beautiful song and this band is still one of the best bands after 30 years. Buy /order anything they have done...pure TALENT

  • @DeborahLZ The drummer is a good friend of mine

  • great video work for being live.. very talented cameraman.. best performance of that song since the original..

  • That is one hell of a bad ass tune, I can listen to that song all day long. Well done guys! PROG-ON!!

  • I love that all the CLASSIC ROCKERS are STILL ROCKIN'........nuff said.

  • Randy's voice sounds great after 30 years. Unlike Robert Plant who messed up his high vocals after 1975, that may be a reason Robert Plant only recods folk music now

  • Great job on the camera work...

  • nice

  • These 3 guys kick some major ass! Such a BIG sound! :)

  • I really like Zebra...kindof like Boston. Not enough material to satisfy.

Not bad camera work for being in a audience

  • Simply amazing!

  • On the 8th day, God made Youtube so his people could see greatness like this. I miss Zebra. Growing up in Thibodaux, La. this band was a staple in my cassette deck and on my turntable.

  • underrated band

  • one of the best songs and album ever!!!

  • One of my favorite songs of all time!

  • you mean to tell me this is live fresh ZeeeBRA? holy Metry! Where Y'at!

  • DAMN! Randy on the doubleneck..haven't seen that in a long time! Awesome! Now I'm really needing a Zebra fix!

  • between Union Jacx and Zebra best show patchogue theatre has ever had and only show that sold out 24 hours ahead of the show

  • Friggin' awesome! Great camerawork.

  • Great meeting you last night! Keep up the good work!!

  • 2 hrs 20min show you guys are the best
