@dragonlady267 can't tell if you are trolling or you have payed no attention to the title or description (this is a clip from Stargate: SG 1 a TV show xD)
ok, since this was the first time they introduced the ancient drones they really over did it with the number of drones...in later episodes it only took a couple drones to take out a replicator Aurora-class starships ..were these drones an early version ?? I bet they just revised the power of the drones in later episodes
Well the Ancients were more powerful than the Wraith, they only lost because of numbers and the Asgaard enhanced Tauri ships owned, so this thing could have probably annihilated the entire Origin army in minutes :D
@Tract05 Ori were as advanced as the Ancients and had ascended knowledge when they attacked. Drones might have had some impact but not much. Asgard designed the weapons to be useful against Ori shields and hull configs, and ended up being useful vs everything. The ultimate ship-based weapon
@AirsoftSteveCope I totally DO NOT remember making this comment, haha! Yes, I agree with you. The Asgaard had brilliant weapons and shield configurations. I actually don't see the Ori necessarily doing very well against the Wraith, unless their shields are able to withstand Wraith attacks indefinitely. I could see that beam weapon splitting a Wraith hive ship in half in seconds but if you have 300 hive ships against 3 Ori vessels....those beam weapons only fire so fast.
@Tract05 Actually, the Wraith only had about 60 hives total, and they're split up into competing factions. In fact, the Ori would probably annihilate the Wraith, and I doubt the the humans in Pegasus would be resisting the help.
@ExanRev Only 60? Did they have a much greater force before the Ancients abandoned the Pegasus galaxy? With those numbers and considering their forces, yes, I absolutely agree - I mostly watch SG1, and I've only been catching up on Atlantis since I made that post, so I am seeing where the Wraith would be easily defeated if you had a few ships with Asgard or Ori beam weapons and shields on them. Especially if the Ancients were so effective against them, except for being outnumbered.
@Tract05 Most likely they had a much larger force (maybe 150 or so hives) during their war with the Ancients, but cut way back after things died down to save resources, IE like any military force usually does right after a war. And considering they have no sort of shielding (I think their ships were designed to withstand lots of small hits that could be regenerated, not massive piercing beams), they'd get walloped by the Ori.
I wanted them to use the Ancients weapon chair platform against Ori ships and see an amazing thing lik this. i guess it would have been repetitive still would have been cool
Anubis was a badass motherfucker, by far the most powerful of the system lords (though baal was pretty damn crafty). When his ship got blown the fuck up here, HE DIDNT DIE. He was blown out into space, but he went into earth orbit and eventually fucking landed on earth. He then snuck into the SGC by possessing the guards.
In the end, it took a fucking ancient to take him out- basically someone about as powerful as jesus christ was the one to finally kill him.
And guess what? IT DIDN'T ACTUALLY KILL HIM. Anubis never technically ceased to be. He is just locked into an eternal struggle with Oma, the christ-equivalent power chick.
@ZKY2 i think they were. If not they were improved alot. Becous Thor's ships weapons had no effect on a ha'tak whit that type of shield. I do not think it is ancient becous why would the shield be of no use agenst drones then?
@IAMSilentdeath Um, yes they were Ancient. Atlantis, the alternate reality (10x13 The Road Not Taken), and numerous references made throughout SG-1 and SGA established that that the drones from Antarctica were not only Ancient in design, but that they had the capability to thwart an ORI attack on Earth. And they were plenty more advanced than even Anubis.
@boo453 Eh, no. That wasn't his ENTIRE fleet. Just a sizable portion. Remember he had to keep reserves in order to prevent the other System Lords from encroaching on his territory. Of course, once his attack fleet at Earth was destroyed, old Ba'al-hair came in, but eventually ended up being Anubis' bitch. Until, as Johanan pointed out, Oma locked him in eternal battle.

The funniest part is, we later learn it only takes 2 drones to blow up a mothership.
Jack used at least hundred per ship.
