@gittahguru The pickups are wax potted, and the covers are attached to the baseplate with a couple of small blobs of solder. This is pretty standard construction for this kind of pickup, and there are load of articles on the web about how to remove the covers. Alternatively, I can order guitars with uncovered (black) pickups.

I have a goldtop one on its way from the factory now, ETA about 3 weeks. Also another cherry sunburst and a tobacco sunburst.
