yung best friend ko binaha,doon sya sa Greenheights area di ba malapit sa San Isdro church yun? Mataas bahay nila 2 story tapos tinaasan nila yung kinalalagyan ng bahay nila pero pumasok pa rin 1 foot tubig-putik. Sobrang overflow ang Nanggka River so palagay ko mas mataas baha sa Greenheights kung street level bahay, Ok na ngayon wala nang baha pero putikan pa rin. May power na pero ewan ko sa iba sira landline nila.

marikina is a valley, wala kameng magagawa kahit maayos pa ang drainage system namin, lahat ng tubig from antipolo and quezon city sa marikina pupunta, pero im surprised na ganyan na kalaki ang baha. taga marikina ako, stranded ako sa office, wala akong magawa, and i heard namatay yung tito ko because of this flood. theres nothing funny about this... kung kayo yung namatay, o namatayan, makakatawa pa kaya kayo... be thankful to God youre safe in your houses laughing on those people who suffer...

maybe im wrong, but when i was there 8 years ago, the streets of calumpang flooded normally and constantly. dont tell me "our" drainage system was ever any good. even under BF (or his wife) and their construction company... we're all just pawns who pay taxes so that our politicians can try to make themselves look good when disaster strikes.

Actually, it maybe more than 4 decades. My house is right there in Marikina and has been for almost a century. My ancestors have never mentioned anything like this. I myself have lived there for 18 years and nothing has EVER come near flooding my house -- yet now it has. According to my folks back there -- waist deep -- sa loob ng bahay. How's that possible when we have a porch that rises the house about 4 feet above street level? I can only imagine what happened to the houses near Pure Foods!

my family lives in Calumpang and they were stucked in the second floor of our house. They werent able to save anything as it happenned very fast. My nieces whos 3 and 4 were eating left over rice from the pot they were able to grabe b4 the water came in. It was scary I cant even call my mom anymore as her cell is low battery already
