I own an 08. I'v had many different bikes over the passt 25 years.. and this is the fastest and most comfortable one I have ever owned. It's alot of bike for the money.. and it looks like the batmobile. Cheers to Kawasaki for making this wonderful machine.
how do you think I will feel on it if im 6 ft 5 2.5 hours later at 75 mph??? cramped beat up by the wind? and how is it in the twisty roads??thanks, Im really considering this bike, IM thinking of trading in my cruiser??lol
In response to the pillion query it is safe to say that my wife who has shared all 11500 miles on the bike reports it is the most comfortable pillion seat ever. Her only gripe is that it takes a little getting used to getting on and off with the panniers in place but comfort is never an issue. She has had problems with knee cramp in the past but its now me who tires before her.
I'm 6'1" and 185. 6800 Miles on my 08....best bike ever. I'm sorting out an off idle flutter but manual says 6000 mile service and I'm guessing throttle bodies need a synch. so its to be expected. The stock tires were really bad, now have Pilot Road 2 Michelin's and it is superberolus. Unlawful speeds at the flick of the wrist, all day comfort to boot.
Best bike ever? A resounding yes. I've had VFR's, sports bikes, cruisers and even a wing but if you want to go fast get a GTR, tour, same answer. Whatever you need from a bike the 1400 GTR delivers and after 10,000 miles on mine I have nothing negative to say about it. Its just perfect for me.
Probably The sweetest bike for a tour!!!!!

Wusses and pussys abound. A real bike has a tach the diameter of a dinner plate.
No digital device can pack as much rpm as a monster tach !!!

The FJR is for pussies I've got an 09 concours and the FJR can't match the power. I think your afraid of it or just don't know how to ride.

You should check out the Probity Cycle Inc police package for this bike dubbed the ENFORCER. The paint alone makes this bike look even better.

@Zot64 ya them stock tires were shitty. PR2's are way better.
