america used to be thought of as rebels who stand for stuff [original revolutionaries to the veitnam war era hippies] but now its full mindless idiots. i'd just love it if a big counter culture with a base in creating change started again. i think ppl are too scared now. thats the problem. lazy and scared.

  • Going on holiday to Florida reminds you of your country? Well that seems a bit off.

By the way, what is your country? Is it England, Great Britain, or the UK - United Kingdom? How does one from your country define your country?

I don't mean to stir anything up, it's just that it seems the name keeps changing and it is (to me an American) and must be (to you) quite confusing.

  • @peasonerf England is the country; Great britain is England, scotland wales and northern ireland and the UK is all of the islands including eire and the shetland islands. I THINK ANYWAY! Nobody knows what is what but i hope this clears it up. We call it anything. To ourselves, we call it england, but to foreigners, we make it sound bigger by saying 'Great Britain'. England is quite big really; just very close together and hilly.

  • @turbojet100 you're wrong there. Great Britain is england, scotland and wales. the UK is england, scotland, wales and northern ireland. southern ireland. though physically connected to northern ireland, is its own and is not part of Great Britain or the UK. most people under the Queen know this. basically no americans do, no offence :)

  • @SmeezySisters Cheers for clearing it up there. I never get it right

  • @turbojet100 not a problem. If i weren't under the queen i would probabpy have no idea

  • @SmeezySisters thank you for clearing that up. Now I am an American that knows :)

  • @Nicole3900 Yeah, me too!

  • @peasonerf UK is england, wales, scotland, and northern ireland. Great Britian is only england, wales and scotland. Ireland is basically it's own country, with only northern ireland included in the 'UK'.

  • dont forget harry potter :P

  • and u think California's weather isnt that bad? Its hella bipolar

  • @sayrith What part of CA are you from? (I keep hearing that Californians say hella, but I've never heard it before, so I'm thinking that it might be a SoCal kind of thing)

  • @aviana656 hell yeah :P

and yes you are correct. I am from SoCal. Im guessing u arent from around here are you?

  • @aviana656 im from SoCal and we like never use hella, and if we do i have never heard of it

    Rock and Roll

    Appreciating all world cultures

    Helping our fellow man

  • I really like the English, so don't get me wrong with my comment. You mentioned not tipping. Well, that's fine if you're in the UK. But the English (and other Europeans) often pretend to be unaware that tipping is expected in restaurants in America. Wages are minimal for servers in the US, tips are most of their pay. A 15% tip is considered normal for good service. Some Europeans ignore this, (especially Scandivanians) although they know better. It does'nt reflect well on them or their country.

  • Im American...Our main ancestries are Italian, German and English of course so basically all of our culture is a CRAZY mix of German, Italian and English cultures mixed with 200 years of evolution on those things. Living in a America is hard these days since George Bush has ruined the world view on our country but We have the largest military and largest economy...everyone loves our music and movies so we are still proud. FOOTBALL, HOCKEY, PIZZA and BURGERS sum us up lol

  • I would add French, and Hispanic cultures also. That we have many major cities, major theme parks, many inventions, writers, actors, singers, dancers, sports, media, and a crazy amount of spoiled rich people who have nothing going for them but being rich *cough* paris hilton *cough*, we always make things work, we seem to always find a way to do anything. We have many different views on things, spend money on crazy things, no patience, but look out for eachother when push comes to shove
