The greatest children's programme of ALL TIME. (Did you see what I did there?) This series transformed Sunday afternoons! Geoffrey Bayldon's finest hour. He was the first choice to play the Doctor. Ironically, Jon Pertwee turned down the role of Catweazle! Both were to appear together a few years later in another children's classic 'Worzel Gummidge'. It' a strange world......Be seeing you!
@consul1957 ~ "just sayin'" are you ?. Quite possibly the most irritating saying that's crept into the English language. "Just sayin" . What are you "just sayin" you fucking cretin ?
@consul1957 they didn't speak modern English either, something to look back on whistfully..just sayin, ya get me? Yes, I know the form...vituperation; I shall follow your inevitable imperative, right now.
THANKS FOR UPLOADING THIS GREAT FAMILY SERIES STARRING GEOFFREY BAYLDON AS THE GREAT CHARACTER CATWEAZLE WHO COULD ONLY BE PLAYED BY THIS GREAT CHARACTER ACTOR WHO MADE HIM IS OWN . BRINGS BACK ALOT OF MEMORIES FROM 1969!!
This was one of those superb, brilliantly acted series that was a "must watch" for all the family. There is a discussion on IMBD discussing who could play the part of Catweazle in 2011. I think the original, Geoffrey Bayldon, will take some beating.
@SuperWolsey Funnily enough I found that out just after posting my comment. I hope to get around to listening to them at some point. Have you heard them?
@Squidgington Sure have. They're fantastic! Wish John Nathan-Turner approached him for The Five Doctors instead of Richard Hurndall (courtesy of Ian Levine's involement)
Thank you for uploading these...I used to love this show..and, now at 42 still love it lol...although I could never remember that bloody toad's name...
Ah, if only TV on Sundays was like this nowadays. The aging process is so heartbreaking sometimes.
