Haha! That thing about tall people hating other tall people is so true!! What I do is I think to myself, "Well they're freakishly tall... TOO tall." I'm the perfect height.
You're 6'7"? What the motherfuck? I would have guessed that you were of average-to-tallish-height, which makes no sense because I had nothing to base that on, but apparently everyone else thought the same thing. Strange. I'm 6'3", and I'm usually the tallest, but I just think it's awkward when I'm with a bunch of people who are all around 5'6" and then in pictures I'm just that huge motherfucker. So I would welcome taller peeps in my life.
@raidonthestadiar Tell me about it! What's even worse are the (very rare) pictures of me 'dancing'. I already dance like a Dad and this is only emphasised by the fact that people cannot help but notice me 'dancing' - it's terrible.
Mums are the best, my friends and I actually comes to this conclusion everyday. I really should start telling my mum how great she is.
I always guessed that about tall people! That's why I love being short, cause short people love other short people cause they bring down the average height in the room, making you feel not so small :)
did you see sugata mitra's tedtalk? your discussion of mums reminds me of the power of the "grandmother cloud" he discusses. never underestimate the power that genuine admiration and love can have on a child.

My relationship wit my mother is, complex.
I am 5' 8". I have no issue with tall men. My wife is 5' 1". So, at least at home, I am the tall one.

Based on how astounded everybody is at how tall you are, I call for a game where we guess how tall everyone is on YouTube.
And yeah, even now after I've been out of the house for a few years, it's still great to talk to my mom. She's good people. : )
