Wow. This is one superb editing job. I almost thought O'Reilly had a point in his smear job on Caroline Heldman saying that she was a "TL", but then I watched the original clip (in the sidebar) and saw what was really said and as it turns out Juan Williams threw the "couple guys looking like thugs walking down the street late at night" thing in himself. Not only did they cut Caroline's actual point about being afraid of ALL Black men, but Juan also conflated ALL Black men with thugs. Amazing.

You know, I agree that if you saw 'thugs' walking around you would feel intimidated by them.

However, when you think about it how would their race factor in?

If they look like 'thugs', with black leather and studs, or, I don't know, are drunken, shaved heads, piercings and scary looking clothes...showing an attitude...

It wouldn't really matter what race they are.

The statistical chance of them being black is more of a social, economic thing, than anything to do with 'race' itself.
