  • @codyjhhs That's what I have in my mob system - that and some others randomly scattered around because I didn't plan it out at ALL. Literally. I just said, "I think I'll make a mob system today," and started digging. But it turned out alright in the end, because I found four dungeons after digging as many 6x6 spawning pads. The end!

  • Coe, I remember when I would literally scream in frustration at moments when your noobish-ness showed through, but after rewatching your videos again, I find myself fascinated by your perspectives. It makes watching this "Let's Play" so much more entertaining and informative.

Thank you for showing that Minecraft doesn't have to be populated by experianced players only.

  • When is the website going to be back up? Thanks.

  • what i enjoy about coe is that he is a grown man with a grown man's life. he is a regular person. he's not just some game freak, he is my mentor loll

  • You could of halved the number of pistons you used, easily. One per light switch. And due to the hight of the room, it wouldn't of taken up any more space.

  • Coe I know this is a old video and your not going to read it but you could've used the concept of a piston t-flip flop gate... But as always love your vids. Do more multiplayer

  • coe im very far behind and ur not going to read this u r awesome best minecraft player iv'e ever seen iv'e been watching for a while and its awesome thanks for making them

  • 17:05 .. The Bat Cave

  • Aww man, poor coe. The lengths you go to to farm shrooms only to have bonemeal and giant shrooms in the next update.

  • Theoretically, couldn't you do the lights on the ground except use gravel which has physics to block the light when off. Such as the light to come up from the ground while gravel is on top so when you turn the light off, the gravel will come back down to block the light.

  • @Whicker493 Like a pop-up light?

  • I just created a light switch using only 1 piston Coe! I'm rendering the video now and I will upload it and make a video response here when it's done. So yes it is possible to do a light switch with only 1 piston :)

  • =0! awesome

  • Dude, that's brilliant. Did you come up with that yourself?

  • So cool!

  • coe you are a genuis

  • I love how the sound comes on and all the lights come on through the room. It's just like a warehouse like Coe said :P

  • Mofo coe, WHY YOU SO SMART?!!?!?!?!?!

  • 15 people thought this was minecraft porn!

  • GOT SHROOMS (THERES YOUR EPISODLY COEFORT AFFARES)

  • that pretty fuckin awesome!!!

  • 7:06 haha i have a timing problem too. On my jeep, lol

  • I love how the lights turn on or off sequentially, like Coe said, it looks like a warehouse

  • You're a genius, Coe!

  • Very cool

  • you should have wired in delay repeaters so it would stage them on/off one at a time. that would look really cool

  • Why does he use stone picks?

  • @ShanaMozzor He doesn't like to waste xD

  • oh and you should make the time between who lights longer for a better effect! IF your gonna look at it ofcorse.

  • the part where you constantly pull the lether is so autistic! that's why it's so funny!! laughing my ass out here!

  • Where's all your dogs? Feels like I havent seen them in awhile :I

  • @ProjecktDieTraum Hes in a random place nowhere near to the dog home xD

  • @191210Michael Ohyeah. Lol, I totally forgot about that fact. Derp |D

  • My internet has been down for nearly a month. I have from this episode to 166 to catch up on, you have no idea how happy I am. :')

  • it looked so cool when all the lights turned on

  • Oh man, try turning on Transcription subtitles, it's hilarious.

  • i think i am having a heart attack and i have to go to the dr. aahh ill stay and finish watching this series

  • kill all mushrooms

  • i have watched every ep. in 3 weeks

    plus coe's world

  • Thumps up if u didn't understand anything

  • Coe u should use torches that get blocked off by pistons its way easier "lotmom"

  • As homosexual as this may sound, it's good to hear your voice again. Oh dear...

  • I suggest monostable circuit :P It works very well

  • Coe, (sniffle sniffle) I remember watching your first videos, and how you would always compare something to X's adventures. But now your adventures have grown huge! Ps. I am your first fan. :D

  • coe is back

  • do you use mods coe.

  • @goldendelic go back to ep1 and watch to ep 163 to c if he use any mods

  • @astrox40 thank you 4 that

  • @goldendelic he only used one it was the piston mod but he removed it

  • Coe, watching your recent videos took me back to the first time I had ever seen Minecraft, which was through davidr64yt's X's Adventures in Minecraft series. For a while, Minecraft was boring for me, but seeing you creating these new things and starting over in different places reignited single player and I now have a pretty awesome world that I've been working on. Thank you for having such a great series, and keep up the great videos!

  • mobs dont spawn on wool.. so why not making a mushroom farm out of wool then you dont even need lighting

  • @ludolfx can u place mushrooms on wool

  • I thought you would just do two buttons for the lights. One button turns it off the other button turns it on.

  • The warehouse-like lights turning on and off look amazing!

  • Hey Coe, (java programming info) Slimes only spawn in certain Chunks of the world, so if you find a slime, make a farm there,(a big room) that's what me my brother and my friend did,and in only a little whiles time,we have 3 stacks of 64 slime balls!

    Hope it helped!

  • Hey Coe all that you have to do for the light switch is use redstone on the glowstone and when the redstone is not on the glowstone turns into soulsand which woks the same as your piston made light switch just a heck of a lot easier. i have done a much bigger light switch than that and i know that this works.

  • I want some Coe's Bane! Maybe some multiplayer Terraria?

  • wow when im going to go minecraft beta again im going to do the light thing with the pistons but then with a delay between each one so they go on 1 by 1 and love that your back

  • i remember your first episode. now look at where you are!

  • should of done ethos version lava and 1 piston

  • you'r a boss

  • you made it way to complicated go back to ur first idea and elevate the mushroom by 1block, therefore untouched by water

  • *Music starts playing*

    *Me: "Yes! Timelapse!"

  • coe. either install the better then wolves mod with has light blocks then glow when powered or have the same setup but with a hole in the roof for the light and a sticky piston pushing it down into the hole. the normal pistons wold be stick pistons 2

  • Yay welcome back Coe ^_^

  • yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! waited so long :3 im still for this series!

  • will coes world be coming back?

  • 1000th like :)

    dont hate im happy

  • @simpsfutur I already posted a video on my channel about the idea, so I tried it out, but it was really big and bulky -_-

  • I luv u Coe, ur videos rbthe best!

  • it balls like a boss

  • coe dont speed up with music... just cut it out

  • @TheReasonWhyIS that's no fun.

  • Yay! Coe is back! Hold on, im just gonna grab some pizza and coke...

  • Much easier if you kept it the same as the start and 2 switched 1 on 1 off..

  • what happened to satori

  • Good to have u bak coe :D

  • Coe do u kniw what has happened to quickshot14 ??

  • I had an unexpected orgasm when I finally the number 161...

  • You really like to make Rube Goldberg contraptions coe :P Just make 2 buttons wired to each side.

  • Coe is back! YAY!

  • couldn't you wire a button to each side of the pistons it would save space time and resources

  • @0Edit Yeah thats what I thought he was going to do.

  • lol at like 5:25- 5:33 he's like its hard to comedy slime balls *opens inventory and has like 29 slimeballs* LOL

  • Coe's world! I miss it make more

  • I have to say, when he first flips the lights at 17:21 it looks pretty awesome.

  • !-- MAGIC PIXIE DUST --

  • I don't want to rune the series but I would like u to do a new seris with different games please

  • OH FRICK! YOUR VOICE!! Haven't heard it for every.....

  • Ah. I don't really have a mushroom farm just a cellar and a bucket. :P But I just remembered that I was wondering why my greenhouse yielded 58 wheat instead of 60. Now we know. Thank you.

  • Your new microphone is amazing, Coe.

    Huge improvement :)

  • Music kicks in.. Prepare for epic building time!

  • i'm watching this episode again lol

  • Like this if Coe's Quest was your first let's play addiction :D

  • get the aether mod it awsome.

  • you cant just move a block of dirt back and forth underneath the glowstone for lighting in the darkroom?

  • You should make the cobble generator push the blocks upwards from the basement through the floor and hit an obsidian block, and then you have a 1 by 1 by 2 infinite cobble on the first floor! :D

(or making it a block taller so you can mine the cobble in eye-height)

  • Comment removed

  • When you've finished this project you could make a piston elevator for bedrock to the surface.

  • I don't know if I can wait another 2 weeks :(

  • I love how Coe has gone to potentially 161+ episodes of a Minecraft let's play without any inventory hacking or mods, just keeping it all in the vanilla and still managing to entertain us. It just shows that if you get bored with Minecraft becuase you do not know what else to do in the vanilla, you really are not good at playing it, and that there are countless things you can do in this game without modifications, but a sharp mind.

  • Use a waterbrake to quickly get down to multiple floors of your ladder!

  • guess whos back back back

    back again gain gain

    coe is back back back

    tell a freind freind freind

  • nice to have you back hope you like your new house

  • Just finished all of Coes quest from episode 1 to 161, took me about 4 weeks. Now it feels strange waiting for another episode rather than just going to the next one. My life is now empty.

  • @jleighhowarth i know EXACTLY what you meen...i still feel the pain of waiting :P

  • @jleighhowarth same here, we were late to the show, but i want more! cant wait for some more episodes!

  • @jleighhowarth 4 weeks please I'll do it in 2 see you then ps I DON'T SLEEP

  • @jleighhowarth That is what happened to me too.

  • Welcome Back Coe Im apart of a Group on the Minecraft fourms that are your fans :D

  • Coe make a 2 square deep water hole at the bottom of the mine, quicker to get down

  • COE IS BACK YEAH!!!!

  • Coe, it's nice to watch your video's again. I went back and started from episode 1 because I couldn't go too long without your videos :)

  • I just have to say that A In Mono is pretty awesome. Also, another good video, it's nice to see you putting up content again.

  • Coe, you actually can do it with just 1 sticky piston. All you need to do is put the lightstone one block higher in the air and have a sticky push and pull a piece of cobble under it. It'd make the wiring a whole ton simpler and more efficient. You Also wouldn't have to mine out such large areas. Thumbs up so Coe can see for next time.

  • @HinataLuYawneOe but it takes sticky pistons

  • @sneezingmonkey497 Which would be why I said sticky lol.

  • @HinataLuYawneOe Is it okay if I demonstrate this on my Minecraft game, to show what it looks like?

  • @HinataLuYawneOe Better to use lava and have a sticky piston move a cobblestone (or other opaque block) to block the lava. The hole with light is filled with glass.

  • @HinataLuYawneOe Yes, but glowstone would be 1 block away then (less light comes into dark room - more frequent lights)

  • @HinataLuYawneOe Did you watch the video??? He explicitly said why.

  • @acatibog594 If I recall correctly he was talking about using a sticky to push the actual lightstone and saying that light would go through because extended pistons do indeed let light through. But what I suggested fixes that problem in that the lightstone stays in place and you use some cobble as a shutter.

  • Hey, man. Here's to more great let's play videos! *Internet hive five*

  • You could do the light fixture with only two pistons. You just make one longer line of cobble and lightstone perpendicular to what you have now and have the two pistons on each side. Much simpler for a design like this.

  • @Dukeruckley Nevermind, posted like 30 seconds before you expanded to be a much longer room >.<

  • Its amazing what you can do in this game.

  • why should put glass inside those holes were the light changes

  • Welcome back buddy :):):):):):)

  • Welcome back Coe, hope the move went well.

  • I'm gettting sad when the episode is over. Is that a mental problem? ; )

  • you should really make a tutorial on how to make this and how it works :D

  • @traavey10 im just saying a fact dumbfuck

  • @511ninja Faggot

  • @travey10 fuckinghomokillyourselg

  • @511ninja Learn how to spell. Are you 7?

  • WHY DID I NOT GET THIS IN MY SUB BOX!!!!!

  • I miss the comment that had a paragraph about Coe and them catching up, darn.

  • 3:00 Coe, don't forget that you can hold SHIFT on a ladder to keep yourself still. 9:00 one side just needed to be inverted xD

  • @Vaysm It already was inverted, he didn't have enough of a delay between the two sets of pistons. He could of added some repeaters in the back, but he decided to go with the pulse emitter.

  • @SXBCraft Ah, my bad.

  • @gamerlane thats would be a waste of diamond and stone is readily available

  • You should make a piston door in the entrance to the dark room. So when you flip the switch to turn the lights off it closes the sticky piston doors to block all light getting into the chamber.

  • At the end I was like "No! It was just getting good!"

  • rather than having two pistons per light and have them move sideways, couldnt you have just put two pistons at either end of the room, and make them move an entire stack back and forth?

  • lets see you blow through 31000 blocks in seconds!

  • @UnKracked lets see you blow through 12400 blocks in seconds.....

  • coe you should use lava and a sticky piston to close off the lava flow

  • Coe, when are you planning to get (or build) a new computer (or just upgrade your current one) so there's less lag?

  • @iEatPorkchop The only reason there was lag when he pressed the switch is because the entire area upstairs, and in the modules are having their light level re-calculated

  • @SwampieNew It's not just the switch, don't you notice? Sometimes he's just walking around and suddenly 14 fps.

  • Stop. Using. Stone. Tools.

  • @TheUltmatePotat0 Stop Using Full Stops.

  • @TheUltmatePotat0 y should he stone is more useful and there fore he can use his iron for other projects

  • @TheUltmatePotat0 Maybe. He. Has. Less. Other. Minerals.

  • accually, i think having only one sticky piston per hole would work perfectly well, placing the glowstone one block above and then having a piston covering/exposing it to the darkroom, just mentioning

  • @DontStepOnGnomes Light can pass through piston heads. :(

  • @jgmcelwain I meant having one block on top of the piston head, otherwise having a sticky one would have been real stupid.

  • YOU PAST IRON!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (head explodes)

  • OR you could have just added a repeater for each light on the right..

  • Okay, whatever you do, don't EVER get into electronics IRL :P I'm not sure HOW you did it, but you managed to make a very simple solution awfully complicated XD

  • MAY I ASK WHEN EXACTLY R U GUNNA COMPLETE THE QUEST??

  • @Coestar I love your videos and have watched them all but you seem to be doing less adventure play style and more technical like ethoslab. Would like to see your opinion on this change

  • a button works good for having pistons swap blocks

  • painful redstone starts at 05:30

  • Welcome back!

  • Reminds me of making my mushroom farm. I had this same mechanism, but one for each wall, so the light would come in the sides. Both sides constructed exactly the same and yet the one side wouldn't work. Oh, the frustration.

  • Coe, if you hold shift down while climbing a ladder you will hold on to it and not glide down. You can mine like this at the same rate as when you're jumping or swimming. Glad to have you back!
