You know, the one thing I see consistently in the research I've done this week on serial killers - is a love for being center stage. They enjoy the attention. You'd think this guy was getting an award, or retiring from a big business. This is his "big moment" before he spends years in hell, and he wants to make sure he's heard.

If you watch Berkowitz's, he always has the biggest smile on his face when he's on camera... A smirk whenever he's being interviewed... They're so proud of themselves. @Cyberbob182 It cost more, MUCH more to execute someone ( because of the appeals they are allowed to make) than to keep them in prison for 2 lifetimes

Ok, so another possibility to think about : let one of the victims' father shoot him and then, never start a trial for this murder which would more deserve a medal than a lifetime in prison... Lets save money and moral...

@sarabower1 I'd prefer pay more to execute him than paying for his lifetime in jail : I would pay the risk of his escaping and mayby other murders... Can we take the risk ? Isn't he too dangerous ? When I said that he did not worth to waste money in a trial, I did not say that we should not use the very same money to execute him. It's even worth to pay more just to save potential future victims... Or ok, we let him in jail, but in the Hannibal Lecter uniform, hands and feet tied forever.

@TheJamblaster I never said that. Easy way to make me say what I didn't. I said this human being does not deserve al this attention. He is a monster this is undeniable. Now, I was upset when I wrote that message. But I never said time and money are more valuable than human life in general. He does not belong to the "general" human category so he is an exception to the rule like all other serial killers. But yes, I would not be better than him if I thought money was a reason for killing.
