  • beautiful and so sad its a GREAT movie im surprised its not on anyones top 10 20 or whatever list no one talks about this film but its so good, its intense

  • Awesome film, Sweden kino!

  • it is really intense, prepare yourself, but really good.

  • I just saw this movie & it IS one of the BEST foreign films I have EVER seen. From beginning to end, it never lets down for a second. The talented actors, the snow, the horses, the amazingly original story make it a film worth it's awards. Such a treat for all of the senses. Just brilliant! A great "strong woman" movie for all of us strong women. I loved it!!!!!

  • this is beautiful music,

  • How is Dina 'a child of destiny' not trying to be nitpicky but just curious, haven't seen the movie yet

  • The book `` I am Dina`` is a masterpiece of Scandinavian literature. The film was made on average compared to the book, though they chose a phenomenal actress who was great to revive the character of Dina ... But the film could be better done, some characters are dropped or reduce their importance, but which is actually in the book. Yet great is that such an act filmed ...

  • my name is dina!!!!OMG

  • @bulletformyrocker Thanks for the spoiler BITCH!

  • i have the same question. anybody knows anth about music in this movie? thanks for answering:)

  • btw anyone knows the name of the melody played in this trailer?? or who made it?

  • maria is norwegian/swedish yes. she has played in films where she speaks in swedish, and films where she speaks norwegian... i dont know where she lives now, but she plays in movies both in sweden and norway and denmark too i guess

  • (: I Love It !

  • I love this movie!!!

  • From Wikipedia:

Maria Bonnevie (born September 26, 1973) is a Norwegian-Swedish actress. Born in Västerås, Sweden, she grew up in Oslo, Norway. Her parents, both actors, are the Norwegian actress Jannik Bonnevie and Swedish actor Per Waldvik.

  • I have him on dvd.

  • Thanks.ButI did not find any singer called MORON on internet..

  • Graet movie..Does anybody know name of the song which is used in this trailer? It stars at 1:18...Thanks

  • It is a danish and swedish movie! <3 Soooo proud.

  • Well actually it's Norwegian but with actors from all over Scandinavia, Britain and France.

  • i really really like this movie when i first saw this. i'm looking for a cd or a dvd of this movie yet i can't find one.. :(

  • looks really good. the music sounds great too!

  • It is amazing, very beautiful. Good work!

  • This movie is bery good

  • She's Norwegian.. God, you're stupid

  • you both are, she is half swedish, and half norwegian.

  • No, she is Swedish. Look it up. Most of the actors are from other parts of Scandinavia, Britain, and France.

  • So i did look it up. Taken from IMDB:

Daughter of Norwegian actress Jannik Bonnevie and Swedish actor Per Waldvik.

You should write to IMDB telling them that they have been utterly mis-informed. And while you're at it, you should edit Wikipedia too, cause they say the same thing (that includes the danish, swedish, norwegian, suomi, french, polish and english Wikipedia). Looks like you have some work to do.

  • I'm a norwegian girl, and I'll bet anything that the only norwegian woman you've seen is Lene Alexandria and that tells me alittle bit about you... Norge eier

  • Moron. she's half swedish and half norwegian. It's funny to watch her in swedish film though because her norwegian accent shines through.

  • Thanks. But I did not find any singer called MORON on internet..

  • It is "Business" by Craig Armstrong from his Plunkett and Macleane Soundtrack.

I looked for like three days to find this...haha...my favorite scores by far. :)

  • Hi,

What's the name of thesoundtrack ? I don't know if I heard well but I heard is something named Jorane ?! I don't know. Is there anyone who can tell me the name of the soundtrack ?

    Thank you,

    Idyahoo

  • This movie looks so good, but I can't find it anywhere online or elsewhere. Where can I find this film????

  • piratebay

  • Lol, I can't believe that this was souch a hit movie, I meen, I might never have seen it, but Bornedal is usually crap

  • Some of Bornedal's films are crap, yes, but this one is fantastic!! You should see it sometime..

  • I've seen it and I loved it. The beginning is so sad... :'(

  • This sounds awesome.

I want to see it, maybe I should read the book first, though.

  • Nice trailer. I just ordered the movie, i can't wait to see it!

  • haha theres almost just swedish and danish actors in that movie xD the lead character is maria and she's swedish

  • maria isn't swedish!! she's norwegian!

  • Maria is half-Swedish, half-Norwegian.

  • you are right, i found it out now. but in kvitebjørn kong valomon she speaks perfectly good norwegian..

  • Nope, she's Norwegian;) But she has been known to take on some swedish roles though... and her former boyfriend is the swedish actor Mikael Persbrandt.

  • I really like this movie! Some of my favourite actors here. Maria Bonnevie is really good.

(It does feels a bit strange that they talk English though since the movie takes place in 19th centory Norway)

  • Well, the movie is actually nothing compared to the book, but Maria Bonnevie does a great job with, what I think, is an unfulfilled script.

  • I agree, the book is better.

  • I'm reading the follow-up now, but the first one is better. Not saying it isn't good, but Dina's Book is great. Can't wait to read Karna's Heritage though. Do you know what the "funky" violin song in the trailer is called by the way?

  • Yeah, I was also wondering what that song was.. Have found no leads so far :(

  • didn`t heard about this movie and it`s interesting to watchX-). btw, im dina too! he he he

  • Well behaved women rarely make history.

  • yeah me too, love that kind of woman with such strong personnality, and the last point not the least there is M.Mikkelsen!!
