beautiful and so sad its a GREAT movie im surprised its not on anyones top 10 20 or whatever list no one talks about this film but its so good, its intense
I just saw this movie & it IS one of the BEST foreign films I have EVER seen. From beginning to end, it never lets down for a second. The talented actors, the snow, the horses, the amazingly original story make it a film worth it's awards. Such a treat for all of the senses. Just brilliant! A great "strong woman" movie for all of us strong women. I loved it!!!!!
The book `` I am Dina`` is a masterpiece of Scandinavian literature. The film was made on average compared to the book, though they chose a phenomenal actress who was great to revive the character of Dina ... But the film could be better done, some characters are dropped or reduce their importance, but which is actually in the book. Yet great is that such an act filmed ...

maria is norwegian/swedish yes. she has played in films where she speaks in swedish, and films where she speaks norwegian... i dont know where she lives now, but she plays in movies both in sweden and norway and denmark too i guess
Maria Bonnevie (born September 26, 1973) is a Norwegian-Swedish actress. Born in Västerås, Sweden, she grew up in Oslo, Norway. Her parents, both actors, are the Norwegian actress Jannik Bonnevie and Swedish actor Per Waldvik.
Daughter of Norwegian actress Jannik Bonnevie and Swedish actor Per Waldvik.
You should write to IMDB telling them that they have been utterly mis-informed. And while you're at it, you should edit Wikipedia too, cause they say the same thing (that includes the danish, swedish, norwegian, suomi, french, polish and english Wikipedia). Looks like you have some work to do.
I'm a norwegian girl, and I'll bet anything that the only norwegian woman you've seen is Lene Alexandria and that tells me alittle bit about you... Norge eier
What's the name of thesoundtrack ? I don't know if I heard well but I heard is something named Jorane ?! I don't know. Is there anyone who can tell me the name of the soundtrack ?
Nope, she's Norwegian;) But she has been known to take on some swedish roles though... and her former boyfriend is the swedish actor Mikael Persbrandt.
I'm reading the follow-up now, but the first one is better. Not saying it isn't good, but Dina's Book is great. Can't wait to read Karna's Heritage though. Do you know what the "funky" violin song in the trailer is called by the way?
